    Registrar

    Job Description

    • The Registrar is a Principal Officer who shall be responsible to the Rector for the day to day Administration of the Polytechnic.

    The Person

    • Applicants for the Post of Polytechnic Registrar must have, in the past, exhibited high degree of competence and must be of impeccable character.
    • He/she must be trustworthy, have adequate leadership skills, ample experience, integrity, and dependability.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Candidates should possess a good Honours degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least seventeen (17) years cognate experience or Masters degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience, or Doctorate degree (Ph.D) plus at least twelve (12) years cognate experience preferably in Institutions of Higher learning.
    • Possession of working knowledge in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) would be an added advantage. The candidate should not be more than fifty- five (55) years old at the point of appointment. Also candidates that have put in thirty-one (31) years and above in service need not apply.

    Conditions of Service

    • The successful candidate shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only (single tenure) on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
    • The remuneration is as applicable to the post of a Registrar of Polytechnics in Delta State.
    • Candidates who do not have the required five (5) years for a full term before retirement need not apply.

    Bursar

    Job Description

    • The Bursar is a Principal Officer responsible to the Rector for the financial administration of the Polytechnic.

    The Person

    • Applicants for the Post of Polytechnic Bursar must have, in the past, exhibited considerable degree of competence, responsiveness, demonstrate integrity and transparency on matters of Bursary/Financial Administration and Management. Applicants must be in good health and able to endure the rigours of duties of the Bursar.
    • Also, candidates must possess the following qualities: vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life. In addition, candidates should have the ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the emerging needs of the Polytechnic, command respect and arouse cooperation and loyalty to staff and students of the Polytechnic.
    • Candidates are to write, in not more than five hundred (500) words, their vision for the Polytechnic Bursary/Financial Development and Management for the next five years.
    • Prospective candidates must show innovative approaches to the running of an ICT-driven Bursary, working at the highest level of efficiency to promote and sustain a vibrant Bursary and eliminate time wasting, bureaucracy, bottlenecks and fraud.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • The candidates must possess minimum of a good honours degree in Accountancy/Finance or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning plus a professional Accountancy qualification with at least eighteen (18) years post-qualification experience in institutions of higher learning plus registration with a recognised professional Accounting body.
    • Candidates must have experience in a tertiary institution and must be computer literate.

    Conditions of Service

    • The successful candidate shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only (single tenure) on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
    • The remuneration is as applicable to the post of a Bursar of Polytechnics in Delta State.
    • Candidates who do not have the required five (5) years for a full term before retirement need not apply.
