    Quality and Safety Manager

    Role Purpose

    • To lead, implement and manage an integrated management system including Quality, Health, Safety and Environment best practices across all elements of operations and service delivery platforms within the company's operations, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation, approved codes of practice, policies and procedures; with an acute focus on adherence to service excellence and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure quality specific policies and procedures governing benchmarks across cargo operations are developed, practiced and maintained.
    • Develop, lead the operations and promotions of an integrated management system, encompassing a proactive improvement culture in Quality, Environmental Health and Safety 
    • Facilitate the maintenance and management of Environmental Health, Safety and wellbeing through systems, inspection/audits and the establishment of High standards and expectations of service excellence with safety awareness behaviors and performance.
    • Maintain and integrated management system audit program for Quality, Health and Safety Environmental standards and to ensure that all elements are audited every six months through effective deployment of the trained auditors within service level agreements.
    • Report on the performance of the IMS at management review meetings, use this as a forum for improvements.
    • Advise on matters relating to the Environment, Health and Safety at work including the obligations and responsibilities of managers and employees and provide comprehensive and practical advice to managers on best practices
    • Provide appropriate accident investigation methodology to ensure personal management accountability and improve risk management, including monitoring and interpretation of statistical data and formulate into a monthly report.
    • Undertaking of environmental health and safety planning, including the setting of goals, agreeing of priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management
    • In conjunction with HR, assist in the delivery of comprehensive operational technical training to promote, develop and sustain a positive Health and Safety awareness culture throughout business operations
    • Ensure compliance to all company, contractual, documentation, audits and administration procedures are carried out to the company’s standard.
    • Legislative compliance, ensuring all HSE aspects of the Operations are conducted in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements and codes of practice

    Key Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Safety & Compliance, Quality or related discipline
    • 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience in quality control/assurance in the aircraft maintenance and repair environment or related field
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage, lead and coordinate multiple projects in a timely manner
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency
    • Well versed in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Must have a broad knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations in our geographic footprint and be familiar with all relevant environmental laws
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Health, Safety & Environment Supervisor

    Role Purpose

    • To support the HSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in leading the operations and promotions of an integrated management system, encompassing a proactive improvement culture in Quality, Environmental Health and Safety
    • Contributing to writing internal health and safety policies/strategies
    • Make recommendations following accidents, near miss and incidents
    • Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
    • Support the HSE Manager in ensuring HSE compliance both internal and external and perform regular HSE audits in the areas of business operations
    • Ensure adequate planning of safe working practices and ensuring necessary changes are made
    • Keep up to date and ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation
    • Ensure proper and safe installation of all equipment
    • Carry out regular area inspections
    • Investigate/record incidents, accidents, complaints, and cases of accidents
    • Create safety reports, bulletins, and newsletters
    • Undertake risk assessments and identify potential hazards
    • Liaise with relevant authorities
    • Ensure proper safety in handling of hazardous substances and materials

    Key Requirements

    • A First Degree in any Engineering or Physical Science, and formal training in HSE with recognised qualification or certification
    • 5+ years’ experience in health and safety
    • Knowledge of risk assessment techniques
    • Excellent planning, presentation, negotiation, and organisational skills
    • Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically
    • In depth knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
