    Order Fulfillment Manager

    Summary 

    • Supervise end to end directly, the Lafarge Africa Plc Order Management and Fulfillment operations (DM/LMAPP/OM Units), create and maintain processes that are customer centric towards achieving heightened customer service metrics with “Customer Delight” and “Revenue” as the bottom lines. 

    Responsibilities 

    • Successful running ofwh operations
    • Proactive and problem solving attitude in handling of Customer complaints/requests WITH CX at the top of mind
    • Responsible for OFT members performance levels.
    • Ensure that all OFT parameters –are tracked, monitored, reported, and improved.
    • Process and policy creation and inputs.
    • Support the Head of Customer Service towards ensuring all Lafarge CS department goals and visions are met.
    • Backlog management and reporting
    • Ensure the FIFO is maintained by the team while order planning
    • Ensure Best Shipping Point is allocated to at aleast 90% of all planning requests.
    • Ensure that all orders are consumed before the 90day expiration or voided in line with policy
    • Any other assigned duties.

    Education & Experience 

    • B.Sc. in any Business/Statistical/Science course.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in customer service management.
    • At least 2 years in Sales Admin/Order Mgt.
    • In-depth knowledge of customer service/operations/customer experience policies and practices
    • Proficiency in SAP(ERP) and other Order fulfilment tools.
    • Experience in order mgt/sales admin DESIRABLE
    • Understanding of CSAT/NPS/CES/OFR/OTS and other metrics within CS
    • Certification in Customer Services is desirable.

    Loading Bay Operator

    Summary

    • Role holder is responsible for carrying out first level inspection aimed at identifying issues on the plants before actually emanating into serious problems.
    • He/She is also to ensure that bulk lorries are promptly and correctly loaded with appropriate tonnage as programmed.
    • Contribute to the best level of performance of the plant's equipment.

    Responsibility

    • Accountable for the safety of all subordinates and colleagues in the section
    • Carries out first level inspection of the plants.
    • Ensures prompt and proper loading of bulk lorries as programmed. Checks and ensures that all loading specifications are adhered to. Avert under/over loading by counter checking weight\ed trucks to ensure correct weights are dispatched.
    • Scans through loading instructions to supervise loading and ensure accuracy.
    • Ensures bulk lorries are loaded with specified type of cement.
    • Accountable for all problems arising in the section from first level inspection and bulk loading and follows laid down procedures in resolving and liaising with superiors.
    • Prepares daily and monthly reports on types of cement despatched. Liaises with Shift Coordinator and Shipping Supervisors on the status of different Cement stocks. and the need to accelerate production to meet targets and demands.
    • Contribute to the analysis of failures and problems, recommending corrective actions.
    • Comply with EMS Production Instrumentation job functions.
    • Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plant.

    Education & Experience

    • OND/Trade test in Sciences or Engineering or Numerate Sciences.
    • Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a process industry. 
    • Understand the process involved and effects at each stage in Cement production from the raw material to finished production.
    • Ability to interpret and understand laboratory Cement analysis.
    • Ability to operate equipment in the section
    • Compiles bulk cement despatch reports and handles consignment forms plus other related documents.
    • High degree of numeric for maintaining Cement packing statistics as well as stocks
    • Ability to motivate and maintain
    • Good planning skills.
    • Tack and diplomacy when dealing with customers

    Belt Craftsman

    Summary 

    • Ensure availability and reliability of belt conveyors in the plant by carrying out adequate maintenance and repairs on plant conveyor belts systems and its axiliaries according to maintenance schedules to the facilitate smooth operations.

    Responsibilities 

    • Carry out routine and scheduled maintenance on all belt conveyors using job plans and taking into consideration all safety precaution.
    • Ensure daily WBI and PMR are done on all conveyor belts in your section/area for smooth plant operation.
    • Ensure quick repair of mechanical equipment (Belt) on breakdown.
    • Carryout mechanical repair (Belt) at anytime of the day when called upon by superiors.
    • Report through breakdown reports to superiors on causes of breakdown remedy done and spares used.
    • Ensures good and correct use of tools.
    • Ensure all conveyor guards are in place as required by HOLCIM safety standard.
    • Ensures place of work is left clean after repair/maintenance tasks.
    • Follow and respect on call / shift system according to the plant rules
    • Comply with EMS Mechanical Instrumentation activities
    • Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plant.
    • Ensure monthly conveyor tools audit and mobile equipment (compressor) to ensure tools availability for quick interventions and timely maintenance
    • Ensure commissioning of new belts after replacement/renewal of joint for 3 hours
    • Monitor and report spare availability and consumption pattern to avoid nil stock for all spare parts.
    • Prepare and send the report of daily activities 

    Education & Experience

    • Trade test I, II, III or City and guide or SSCE
    • 2 years’ experience in belt repair and vulcanization
    • Knowledge of work and safety rules and regulations
    • Knowledge of relevant equipment and tools
    • Knowledge of belt repair and vulcanization

    Packing Plant Technician

    Summary

    • Role holder is responsible for coordinating and supervise activities in the Packing Plant for the purpose of loading and dispatching Cement in accordance with loading procedures and according to raised invoices. Contribute to the best level of performance of plant’s equipment.

    Responsibilities 

    • Implement Lafarge Safety Rules and Regulation in accordance with the Group HSE Standards and Advisories.
    • Carry out equipment energy isolation according to LOTOTO procedures
    • Monitors the operations and optimizes all aspects of Rotary packer in compliance with the Company Quality Standards and Requirements.
    • Supervise the activities of the Contractors and Lafarge Third Party Operators through proper implementation of Lafarge Contractor Safety Management Standards (CSM)
    • Monitor Production activities to comply with Group Environmental Standards and maintain good housekeeping at all time
    • Supervises and coordinate packing & loading activities  in a safe manner- by ensuring proper packing and loading of cement into trucks, bulk tankers and Jumbo bags by following the SOP to ensure that trucks weight is within the tolerance level on shift basis. 
    • Identify all faults that occur in the cause of operation in their respective shift, reported to services department concern for necessary action, and followed up for quick intervention 
    • Carry out daily stock count of cement bagged and empty cement bags on shift basis by generating a report for distribution to Production manager, Inventory Manager, Shift Leader, statistics office and other stakeholders for planning.
    • Liaises with Shift Coordinator and other Supervisors on the status of different Cement stocks and the need to accelerate production to meet targets and demands.
    • Ensure safe working condition of plant and personnel with implementation of Lafarge safety rules and regulation in accordance with the Group HSE standards and advisories.

    Education & Experience

    Summary

    Team Assistant

    Summary

    • The Team Assistant provides support to the Head of Department by effectively managing his/her schedule and performing a wide variety of responsible, complex and confidential administrative, secretarial, and analytical and research duties.
    • He/she will also support the wider team with administrative activities.

    Main Activities and Responsibilities

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience
