    EPCI Cost Engineer

    Job Summary:

    • The EPCI Cost Engineer will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and driving effective cost management across assigned EPCI projects through accurate cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with project budgets, contractual requirements, and overall project objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and maintain project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
    • Monitor project costs and analyse variances against approved budgets.
    • Prepare periodic cost reports, forecasts, and financial performance analyses.
    • Support tendering, procurement, and contract administration from a cost control perspective.
    • Evaluate change orders and monitor project cost trends.
    • Identify cost optimisation opportunities and recommend cost-effective solutions.
    • Collaborate with project teams to support effective project planning and execution.
    • Ensure compliance with project controls procedures, contractual requirements, and reporting standards.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in EPCI cost engineering or project controls.
    • Strong knowledge of cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and project cost control.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management tools.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
    • Professional certification in Cost Engineering or Project Controls is required.
    • Membership of COREN & NSE is an added advantage.

    QHSE Officer

    • We are currently seeking a QHSE Officer. The Junior QHSE Officer supports the implementation and monitoring of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies across company operations. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while promoting a strong safety and quality culture within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    Health & Safety

    • Assist in implementing and enforcing workplace health and safety policies.
    • Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits.
    • Identify hazards, report unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Support accident, incident, and near-miss reporting and investigations.
    • Assist in safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety trainings.

    Quality

    • Support quality control processes and inspections.
    • Assist in monitoring compliance with quality standards and procedures.
    • Help document non-conformities and corrective actions.
    • Maintain quality records and reports.

    Environment

    • Support environmental protection initiatives and waste management practices.
    • Assist in monitoring environmental compliance and reporting.
    • Promote environmentally responsible work practices.

    Documentation & Compliance

    • Maintain QHSE documentation, registers, and records.
    • Support ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) implementation.
    • Assist in regulatory compliance and external audits.
    • Prepare basic QHSE reports for management review.

    General Duties

    • Promote a positive QHSE culture across all departments.
    • Support QHSE campaigns, drills, and awareness programs.
    • Perform any other QHSE-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Education

    • HND / BSc in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.

    Experience

    • 1–2 years experience in a QHSE or safety-related role.
    • NYSC completed

    Certifications (Advantageous)

    • NEBOSH IGC (or in view)
    • HSE Levels 1–3
    • ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 awareness or training

    Skills & Competencies

    • Basic knowledge of HSE laws and regulations.
    • Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
    • Good report writing and documentation skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under supervision and follow procedures.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
