    Engineering Lead (Resident Status)

    Activities
    The Service Holder shall:

    • Ensure the safe design of Offshore Facilities in accordance with Company requirements, project specifications and applicable international standards.
    • Coordinate and supervise all safety engineering activities performed by EPC Contractors and specialized Consultants.
    • Ensure timely review, consolidation of comments and approval of safety engineering deliverables.
    • Verify compliance of contractor studies and recommendations with project requirements and Company standards.

    Context and Environment:

    • IMA project is in Detailed Engineering and EPC execution phase. The role covers onshore and offshore facilities and supports successful delivery through offshore installation and commissioning.
    • The Lead Safety Engineer will support the execution phase of IMA developments following investment sanction and EPC contract award. Activities will cover Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Offshore Installation, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of the onshore and offshore IMA project facilities.
    • The project is expected tremain in execution through offshore installation and final commissioning activities up t2029.

    WHP Engineering Lead

    Job Description

    • Following Contract award and FID, the Engineering Lead supports the WHP Package Manager in the delivery of the EPCC contract from award toperations, with accountability for engineering governance, technical quality, and design integrity of the WHP package. 
    • The role ensures timely and compliant engineering deliverables in support of procurement, fabrication, installation, and HUC, including technical support tvendor selection, TBE, and Pplacement. 
    • The objective is tenable right-first-time execution, minimize rework and late changes, and support safe delivery within the approved schedule, up tstart-up and operations nlater than Q4 2028.

    Activities
    Pre FID activities:

    • Support the WHP Package Manager during the EPC and LLI Calls for Tender by leading technical preparation and engineering inputs, including review of FEED deliverables, technical specifications, data sheets, and engineering scope definitions up tRTA.
    • Ensure engineering readiness and maturity of the WHP package at RTA, including resolution of key technical risks, constructability considerations, and alignment of engineering assumptions with the Project schedule and execution strategy.
    • Provide engineering input tthe development of proforma EPC and LLI contracts, ensuring technical scopes, specifications, interfaces, and engineering responsibilities are clearly defined and consistent.
    • Support identification and definition of engineering support contracts required for execution (e.g. specialist CSP installation engineering, design verification, technical assistance), and contribute trelated CFT documentation.

    Civil Engineer

    Activities

    • Review and approve all Civil designs and site preparatory works shop drawings in line with procedures, COMPANY specifications and standards
    • Ensure that basis of design and specifications for buildings, civil and structural works are adhered to.
    • Review and approve all early works drawings, MTOs and studies
    • Review and approve all Civil Engineering Design deliverables (roads, excavation, jetty assessment, on shore plant civil infrastructure and buildings, etc.) at the Detailed Engineering Design Phase

    • IMA Gas Field Development Project is to develop 1.28 TCF of gas through a 4-slot shallow water conductor-supported well-head platform in 8 – 10m of water to produce 380 MMsfcd at plateau. The production fluid to be transported through an 18”x 15km subsea and 18” x 7km onshore pipeline system to the onshore dehydration system at the NEPL/WAGL – owned Bonny NAG plant that is situated within the Renaissance-operated Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal. Treated gas to be exported to Nigeria LNG.
    • Accountabilities
    • To Lead the Civil and Structural aspects of Engineering design and Works, and proactively ensure that there are no gaps, and that the deliverables comply with company requirements – SOR, General Specifications, and relevant international codes and standards – throughout the project.
    • To coordinate all interfaces with ECP, FO & HQ on Civil/Structural related activities, and advise on possible optimization strategies where required
    • To provide technical specialist input and support in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications as it involves engineering design and to ensure that Construction CTRs are adequately supported and guided during project execution for the overall achievement of project objectives.
    • Support Package Manager and Engineering Manager of Projects in delivering the package with a focus on safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
    • Support and enforce the Project HSE objectives and directive and ensure all targets are achieved.

    Qualifications

    SURF PLR Design Engineer (Resident Status)

    Job Description

    • Pre-FID: Provide offshore pipeline engineering support to mature the pipeline design basis, route selection, technical specifications, installation philosophy, schedule and cost inputs up to RTA and contract readiness, ensuring alignment with project execution strategy, HSE requirements and FID governance.
    • Post FID: Be responsible for the technical follow-up, review and validation of the pipeline design and associated installation engineering deliverables, ensuring that the pipeline system is safe, constructible, compliant with Contract requirements, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and ready for procurement, fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover.

    Pre FID activities:

    • Support review and consolidation of offshore pipeline design basis, project specifications, technical requisitions and key engineering assumptions for FEED close-out, CFT and RTA.
    • Contribute to pipeline route selection, shore approach definition, crossing philosophy, geophysical/geotechnical data review and identification of key installation constraints.
    • Support preparation and technical clarification of EPC/LLI tender documents related to line pipe, coating, welding, installation, pre-commissioning and associated pipeline deliverables.
    • Review contractor technical proposals, deviations, qualifications and clarifications related to pipeline design, installation methodology and constructability.
    • Support project management in identifying key pipeline technical risks, schedule drivers, long-lead items and installation readiness requirements for FID.

    Post FID activities
    H3SE & compliance:

    • Support installation engineering by reviewing applicable installation analyses, lay tension, curvature limits, stinger configuration, abandonment and recovery, weather limitations and installation procedures.
    • Ensure design maturity is sufficient before procurement, fabrication, welding qualification, coating, load-out,offshore installation and pre-commissioning activities commence.
    • Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, installation and pre-commissioning, including resolution of site queries, non-conformances, deviations and engineering changes.
    • Report pipeline engineering progress, critical issues, technical risks and required decisions to the SURF Package Manager and relevant project stakeholders.
    • Act as Company technical representative for pipeline design and engineering matters with EPC contractor, vendors and third-party specialists.

    Instrument Engineer

    Activities

    • Act as COMPANY’s focal point and technical authority for all instrumentation, control, metering, and safeguarding systems for the IMA Project.
    • Review, comment on, and approve EPC Contractors’ instrumentation engineering deliverables.
    • Ensure compliance of all Instrumentation Engineering deliverables to Company's Referential, applicable industry standards such as IEC, API, ISO, and ATEX requirements.
    • Review and validate P&IDs, Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets, Control Philosophies, Cause and Effect Matrices, Hook-up Diagrams, Cables Schedules, Junction Box Schedules, and Loop Diagrams.
    • Ensure consistency between process requirements and instrument design.
    • Ensure sufficient and adequate instrumentation (Pressure Monitoring, Temperature Monitoring, Flow Measurement, ESD function, Sand Detection, F&G Detection and remote monitoring and control functionality) is provided for the well head platforms.

    Project Performance – Risk Based Performance Management

    Activities
    Risk & Mitigation:

    • Represent PPM in all coordination activities between Major Projects and other entities: Review of planning & work progress, drilling work program, FOPs work program, other project work program etc.

     Performance Management:

    • Use Project Definition Rating Index from PR2 to identify the Milestones and LDs into contracts or Items to be instructed via a Scope Change Notice (internal to Company) / Change Order Instruction ( To Contractor).
    • Ensure that project performance KPIs / objectives consider potential risks and opportunities.
    • Data-driven insights from risk assessments inform performance strategies directly schedule and or costs or less margin.
    • Identify how the PPM & project can respond proactively to emerging threats and uncertainties, continuously analyzing lookahead.
    • Benefit analysis -balance risk-taking with the achievement of long-term objectives, faster decisions
    • Provide support and resources for projects  Propose support to projects to create/improve their processes and procedures.
    • Improve and learn from experience  Gather and share lesson learned from projects Nigeria regarding project performance including project benchmarks with One tech and PJC.
    • Share regular feedback with local contractors to better work together from one project to another

    Accountabilities

    • Risk Based Performance Management shall ensure that Project Teams are making best use of previous FEED/CFT analysis such as Project Review 2 findings, qualifications, PDRI, CSRA and formulate updated Project Actions Plans for Projects to review.

    Qualifications

    • Certification required for the position: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
    • Specific knowledge required for the position: Proficiency in use of MS Office Suite, SAP and Primavera P6 (monte-Carlo), Safran.
    • Level of experience required for the position: Ten (10) years of experience with a sound oil and gas technical background in onshore, offshore and deep offshore activities.
    • PMBOK, PMP, Kaizen and/or Lean Management belt would be a plus.

    Project Performance - Methods

    Activities
    Build Project Management System:

    • Support the CMS (to be followed by PPM) by identifying all associated project plans, procedures and templates including ppts for various disciplines. & generic documents, templates, forms standardizing method and improving quality and efficiency, in line with head quarter procedures and guidelines.
    • More importantly train people on the existing referential and create workflows for essential use and potential adaption into Prodom and or digital database.
    • Create a hierarchy of the key plans and procedures to mirror image the CMS referential to create a one Project approach for processes. Animate/Manage transverse task force to define or improve processes within PPM and projects
    • Propose appropriate structure for each project that is appropriate and standardization and consolidation of key documents.
    • Provide support and resources for projects
    • Propose support to projects to create/improve their processes and procedures.
    • Improve and learn from experience
    • Gather and share lesson learned from projects Nigeria regarding project performance including project benchmarks with Onetech and PJC.
    • Share regular feedback with local contractors to better work together from one project to another

    Accountabilities

    • Performance Methods engineer shall ensure that Project Teams have adequate templates, project plans and procedures as part of the CMS for Major Projects referential.
    • Therefore, monitor the project Teams, application of methods.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • PMBOK, PMP, Kaizen and or Lean Management belt would be a plus
    • Typically, 10 years of oil and gas industry professional experience and with an experience in similar position.
