Job Description

• SPIE Oil & Gas Services Nigeria is currently looking for an Electrical Foreman to join its work force in Nigeria.

Operations

• Managing a team, supervising electricians, oversees planning and implementation of large electrical projects, evaluating tasks progress, attending meetings, identifying conflicts, and resolving problems.

Other work responsibilities often include organizing and planning a construction project, directing work, inspecting installations for quality, making sure code standards are met, and ensuring job safety related to:

• Power and control cables routing, trays, sleeves, underground…
• Power and control cables laying, testing and recording
• Mounting of sub-station systems power and control
• Field equipment’s installation and terminations
• Electrical foreman plans and manages electrical engineering projects and supervises personnel. This requires meeting with clients, as well as establishing a proper leadership for the project.
• 4-7 years of experience in the specialty area. Job might appeal to individuals with interests in construction, Oil & Gas industry, electricity / lighting.
• The electrical foreman oversees large and complex fields of operations, many different electricians at the same time, and supervises the project, from the large-scale down to the details. A foreman is responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for workers in order to complete jobs within specific guidelines that include HSE and Quality standards, time requirements, as well as budget considerations.
• A foreman is involved into many different aspects of the job, including planning, customer relations, material management, and quality control. he may also be responsible for training newly employees or overseeing apprenticeship programs.

Profile

• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Proficient in Microsoft software i.e., Words, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to lead and motivate multi-national teams,
• Takes a Pride in his work,
• Has the ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others,
• Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site,
• Languages: English necessary (score of >> 3.5 in standard Total test or Bright test or 780 in TOEIC),
• He must have proven ability as a leader of small teams.
• Perfectly competent and independent in his own field,
• He must show common sense and an organizational ability.
• Natural authority, founded on his abilities and on the trust he has in his teams, is essential.

Job Description
General Procurement Duties: 

• Tender processes for the purchase of materials,
• Use of electronic bidding software for Procurement,
• Use of other software for procurement purposes
• Follow-up activities on Material deliveries, Expediting of pending order deliveries
• Monitor the progress of active transactions and conduct service quality assessments at the end of each contract.
• Monitor the progress of issued requests until they are transformed into POs and issued to suppliers
• Monitor the progress of the orders until the products and or services are received and invoiced.
• Monitor the flow; follow up of validated invoices and payment to Contractors.
• Provide Daily/Weekly/Monthly report of activities.
• Database maintenance analysis and management.
• Participate in Service quality meetings, correspondences and relations with internal users and external clients
• Monitoring/tracking and doing gap analysis on the agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and/or Service Level Agreement (SLA) of the key vendors in responsible areas Providing feedback on KPI to the key vendors in a regular basis, and develop/agree the action plan to close gap Spending analysis on a regular basis Communications.
• Any other work of a similar nature as may be requested by the hierarchy.
• Tendering procedure necessitated by SOX and other requirements
• Derogation of C&P role/duties
• This position serves to give Line Management greater flexibility in making material purchases. Accountable for adherence to procedures.

Profile

• Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a similar technical environment
• Proficiency in the use of Office (Outlook, Excel ..) & knowledge of an ERP (such as IFS, SAP etc.)
• Highest standards of integrity, ethics and professionalism
• Excellent communication skills.

Job Description

• Provides I & E (instrumentation and electrical) support for assigned assets related to industrial processing plants of the oil and gas such as refining, natural gas, crude pipelines, compressor station
• Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, calibrates, and repairs wide variety of midstream instrumentation such as, but not limited to, transmitters, flow meters, sensors, analyzers, data loggers, programmable logic controller (PLCs), distributive control system (DCS).
• Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment such as, but not limited to, motor control centers, generators, transformers, switches, relays, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems, variable frequency drive (VFD), power distribution center (PDCs), uninterrupted power source (UPS).
• Configures and programs industrial control systems. Performs loops checks, point-to-point verification and other testing regimes.

Profile

• Calibration Develops ability to perform calibration on instruments with accuracy and precision in accordance with established procedures. Aware of environmental factors such as temperature, vibration, noise affecting calibration.
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Develops experience with software package with multiple maintenance functionalities such as equipment data management, preventative maintenance, work order system, scheduling planning, inventory control, asset tracking.
• Electrical Equipment & Electrical Distribution Network Develops knowledge and practice experience with electrical components and workings of electric transmission and distribution network.
• Industrial Control Systems Develops knowledge or and practical experience with devices to manage, command, direct or regulate behavior of other devices or systems. Includes, but not limited to, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Industrial Instrumentation Fundamentals Develops practical knowledge of instrumentation used in midstream industry to measure, monitor or control temperature, level, pressure, flow. Includes, but is not limited to: temperature sensor, pressure gauges, pressure transmitter, pressure switch, flow transmitter, temperature controllers.
• Safety Applies in difficult or complex situation’s ability to recognize safety risks in operational activities and use appropriate measures to control and manage identified risks.
• Safety Awareness Ability to recognize and identify potential hazards. Evaluates changes in work environment with respect to impact on safety of self and others. Understands potential threats created by deviation from safety procedures and improper use of tools and equipment. Uses personal protection equipment. Uses tools and equipment in compliance with manuals and training. Calls attention to potential and actual hazardous conditions as they arise. Demonstrates knowledge of lockout/tag out procedures. Stops work if there are unsafe working conditions.
• Wireless Technologies Develops knowledge of and practical experience with technologies and devices used in industrial applications to communicate information gathered from sensor locations through wireless links.
