    Driver

    Reports to: Human Resource Manager/Admin 

    Job Summary

    • The Driver will assist the company with all transport-related duties and will be responsible for conveying staff of the organization, materials and equipment to and from where they may be needed in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Safely transporting company staff and various products to and from specified locations.

    • Plan travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.

    • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance where necessary.

    • Keep the company vehicle clean and properly maintained.

    • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.

    • Comply with road safety rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.

    • Collect and verify delivery instructions.

    • Report damage, accident or injuries to management.

    Requirements and Experience

    • Candidates should possess minumum of First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).

    • 5 - 6 years work experience.

    • Proven work experience as a driver in a Non Profitable /corporate organization.

    • No recent driving violations.

    • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffics, weather conditions etc.)

    • Ability to drive long hours and occasional travels

    • Willing to submit to background / drug checks and provide employment recommendations

    • Valid driving license.

    • Familiar with Northern Routes

    Storekeeper

    COMMUNITY LIVELIHOOD EMPOWERMENT WATER AND SANITATION INITIATIVE (CLEWSI) Is non profitable organisation established in 2021. With the aim of impacting lives especially in the North Easthern part of Nigeria.

    • Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Executing the stock management activities (receipt, storage, and issuance to projects or other departments of medical supplies, food items, spare parts, tools, equipment and/ or other logistics materials), according to the line manager’s instructions and CLEWSI standards and protocols, in order to ensure the overall functioning of CLEWSI activities.

    • Accountabilities

    • Supervising materials and goods orders and dispatch in order to ensure its rational use.

    • Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying and reporting potential discrepancies against cargo manifest or others. Stores materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability.

    • Updating and/or creating stock cards for all stock items immediately after reception of goods. Checking the received cold boxes and controlling the cold chain-monitoring card

    • Storing materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability ensuring that all items are well organised and correctly stored, well protected, fully identified and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.).

    • Monitoring the store temperature and ensuring Cold Chain items are stored in an adequate temperature. Keeping a special control of “sensitive” goods: numbers of lots, expiry dates, packaging and special storage conditions

    • Preparing orders on time before sending goods, and packs (according to transport means) weighs and labels freight with corresponding shipping number, destination, number of shipping units, waybill number, weight and mode of transport in accordance with the line manager’s instructions

    • In conjunction with the line manager, performing physical stock counts in accordance with the frequency previously defined. Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out and expiry dates.

    • Controlling warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, attempted break-ins or theft in the warehouse.

    • Assisting the line manager with preparation of the stock reports

    Context Specific Accountabilities

    • Receiving goods arriving to the store, checking its status/condition and amounts in the waybill

    • Preparing outgoing items in a clean and optimized way by appropriately packing, sealing and labelling goods, assisting with recording the exits on stock cards and project form, and ensuring good quality of cold chain when needed

    • Ensuring that goods are well organized and stored in a clean area to be visible and traceable i.e. assisting in the stock inventory, storing items according to nature and use, and ensuring that the temperature in the store is appropriate and items that require cold chain are correctly stored

    • Carrying out basic maintenance of the store, ensuring security conditions (keeping unauthorized staff out, locking, etc....)

    • Ensuring cleanliness of common working areas

    • Ensuring proper use, storage and maintenance of the equipment and tools provided

    • Informing superiors of any incident that may occur in the course of his/her work

    • Helping CLEWSI staff carry heavy items, if necessary

    Minimum Required Skills and Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in warehousing or supply related studies.

    • Minimum of 3 years work experience.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel databases and MS Office (Outlook, Word)

    Experience:

    • Previous experience as storekeeper is desirable.

    • Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management

    • Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.

    • Essential knowledge of basic mathematics and use of measuring equipment

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
