Carry-out safe repair, service and maintenance of equipment as per SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) after carrying out a Risk Assessment both in Field and Workshop.
Ensure Field/Service reports are completed and signed by the appointed site representative
Identify, document and report any potential mechanical failures that may occur and action to be taken immediately.
Correct machine deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling and replacing major component assemblies, sub-assemblies, parts or systems such as power transmissions, drive trains, fuel systems, exhaust and brake systems, steering and hydraulic systems.
Maintain equipment availability by completing preventative maintenance schedules effectively and identifying potential problems early
Ensure that all company tools and equipment utilised are correctly signed for, are kept in a good working condition and are kept secure. Once signed for, you will be accountable for the tools and equipment
Perform housekeeping duties and ensure work area is clean at all time
Maintain all company vehicles ensuring they are kept clean, roadworthy and are only utilised as designed and intended.
Comply with all Health and Safety Regulations set by the Company and report any potential hazards to the Workshop / Field Supervisor.
Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Engineering
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (machine repairs)
Good command of English; French is a plus
Google Workspace – Intermediate Level
Professional experience in similar role such as Maintenance Technican, Maintanance Supervisor, Drill Rig Technician
Country Experience is a major plus; Machinery Experience (or B2B company) is a major plus
Experience working with Drilling equiptment(a strong technical background is desired)
Technical sales experience in a Dealership environment, preferably selling solutions to mining and construction customers
Candidates must have prior experience in drilling operations, including inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of drilling equipment e.g., rigs, mining drills, etc.
Initiative – a desire to take responsibility for a region and drive progress
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving ability
Commitment to providing quality customer service, on a consistent basis
Ability to handle and work under pressure, and prioritise workflow
Solid report writing ability and computer literacy.
