    Director of Works and Physical Planning

    Location: Imota, Ikorodu - Lagos

    Job Summary

    • The Director serves as the University's Chief Physical Planning Officer, reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor.
    • The role covers all aspects of physical planning and infrastructural development, plus expert guidance on formulation, implementation, and review of policies related to the Physical Planning and Development Division.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Candidate must demonstrate exceptional competence, integrity, and responsiveness in managing the division.
    • Good Honours Degree (minimum Second Class Lower) in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university, with at least fifteen (15) years relevant post-qualification experience at the university level or equivalent.
    • Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence required.
    • A higher degree is an advantage; membership in relevant professional bodies is mandatory.

    Director of Research

    Job Summary

    • The Director of Research provides strategic leadership and oversees all research-related operations in line with the University's Research Policy.
    • The Director of Research leads and oversees a team of researchers, guiding strategic
      research initiatives and driving high-quality research.
    • The role involves developing and implementing research strategies, managing projects, and ensuring the timely delivery of research findings.
    • The Director reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor and works in close collaboration with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, RISA (Research, Innovation, Strategy & Administration).

    Requirements

    • Candidate must possess a Ph.D. Degree in a relevant field (Economics, Social Sciences, Data Sciences, etc.) with a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant post-qualification experience at the university level or its equivalent.
    • The Ideal candidate must have registered 7-10 patents and possess strong leadership and team management capabilities, foistering a culture of innovation and excellence.
