    Director of Academic Planning

    Overall Function

    • As the Director of Academic Planning you will lead the planning, delivery, assessment, and continuous improvement of curriculum and program development; provide consultative oversight on special projects, ensure institutional effectiveness, and assessment practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and coordinate academic planning and assessment goals in alignment with the University’s strategic goals.
    • Develop and lead the implementation and evaluation of all faculty strategic plans.
    • Support faculty planning and resource development, and to coordinate the engagement and delivery of the academic priorities across all Faculties and Schools.
    • In consultation and coordination with the Deans, lead on developing plans/business cases for the investment / disinvestment of faculty strategies.
    • Develop and implement new program ideas for future curriculum development; plan and provide one-on-one, small and large group training sessions pertaining to assessment and continuous improvement principles.
    • Lead on continuous improvement strategies that support positive student outcomes, support retention, innovative assessments and ensures effective monitoring, reporting and improvements.
    • Lead senior academic and administrative management personnel in the achievement of Miva’ strategic objectives through learning and teaching, research and knowledge transfer and academic leadership and management.
    • Ensure academic excellence through strategic planning and assessment of individual and faculty performance targets, carrying out staff performance reviews and proactively addressing and resolving performance and conduct concerns.
    • Contribute to performance improvements against institutional KPIs and faculty benchmark standards.
    • Disseminate information about developments within the university through newsletters, seminars/ briefings, faculty website and other communication channels.
    • Represent various faculties and ensure actionable tasks are carried out by key personnel and chair appropriate Faculty and University committees (including appropriate working groups).
    • Promote the effective and efficient implementation of policies approved by the Governing Council.
    • Develop well-researched proposals, policies, plans and presentations to the Governing Council
    • Liaise with appropriate government agencies and bodies.
    • Manage compliance with academic guidelines as stipulated in the National Universities Commission Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards.
    • Liaise with various tertiary institutions as the University’s representative on all partnership/collaboration agreements.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Ph.D. in a relevant course of study.
    • Minimum of twelve years of postgraduate experience, with five years prior experience in a management position.
    • Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage
    • Technical knowledge of tertiary institution policies and guidelines affecting/impacting curriculum development and applicable laws.
    • Strong knowledge of assessment and learning outcomes sufficient to enhance a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated experience analyzing course material to determine essential content components and write behavior objectives and course descriptions.
    • Previous experience developing business plans, implementation and monitoring of their achievement.
    • Proven experience in budget planning and implementation.
    • Ability to display a comprehensive awareness and understanding of local and international collaborations with tertiary institutions.
    • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a flexible approach to working and receptive to change.
    • Ability to lead, motivate and manage academic groups and stakeholders.

    Business Development Lead

    Overall Function

    • We are seeking an experienced Business Development Lead for our university who will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive enrollment and revenue growth.
    • The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful sales and business development within the higher education industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with prospective students and corporate partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive enrollment growth, including corporate partnerships and alliances.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, alumni, and corporate partners to drive business growth.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to increase enrollment and revenue.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth within the higher education industry.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions to meet the needs of prospective students and corporate partners.
    • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective students and corporate partners.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with corporate partners to ensure mutual satisfaction.
    • Responsible for recruiting, training and overseeing the telemarketing team

    Qualifications and Skills

    • A Bachelor’s Degree is required, an Advanced Degree is preferred.
    • 5+ years of prior work experience with partnership development, employer relations, and sales.
    • Experience using B2B marketing tools and CRMs (such as Freshsales, salesforce) to facilitate effective management reporting.
    • Applicant brings with them well-established networks and industry contacts to deliver on our ambitious B2B sales targets.
    • Experience in approaching, and communicating with senior-level executives across diverse organizations.
    • Good familiarity with corporate decision-making processes including budget processes, appropriation, protocols, and communications.
    • Experience with the development and execution of partnership agreements.

    Learner Experience Lead

    Overall Function

    • We are seeking an experienced Learner Experience Lead for our university who will be responsible for enhancing the student experience and ensuring student success.
    • The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong understanding of online learning, as well as experience in managing learner support and engagement initiatives, including the setup and management of call centers and software CRM systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for learner support and engagement, including orientation, onboarding, and ongoing support.
    • Ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction by developing and maintaining relationships with students and providing ongoing support and resources.
    • Collaborate with faculty and other teams to design and implement engaging, effective online learning experiences.
    • Develop and implement programs to support student success, such as tutoring, mentoring, and career development.
    • Analyze data and student feedback to identify areas for improvement in the learner experience and make recommendations to enhance student success.
    • Manage a team of support staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
    • Set up and manage call centers to provide timely and effective support to students.
    • Implement and manage software CRM systems to track and manage student interactions and ensure effective follow-up.
    • Ensure that all inbound sales leads are closed through effectively selling and follow-up

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field is required.
    • An Advanced Degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in learner support and engagement in higher education, with a proven track record of success.
    • Passion for education and a strong understanding of online learning.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
    • Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for learner support and engagement.
    • Experience managing support staff and collaborating with faculty and other teams to design and implement effective online learning experiences.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data and student feedback to identify areas for improvement in the learner experience.
    • Experience setting up and managing call centers to provide timely and effective support to students.
    • Experience implementing and managing software CRM systems to track and manage student interactions and ensure effective follow-up.

    Remuneration
    N400,000 - N500,000 monthly (Net) with benefits.
