Dietitian at Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Centre

Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Centre (LECC) is seeking a qualified, compassionate, and experienced Dietitian to join our clinical team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients\' nutritional needs based on their medical conditions, lifestyle, and treatment plans.
• Develop personalized nutrition and dietary plans for patients.
• Provide dietary counselling and practical guidance to patients and their families.
• Support patients with cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and other nutrition-related conditions.
• Work closely with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patients\' nutritional progress and make appropriate adjustments to dietary plans.
• Educate patients on healthy eating, portion control, weight management, and lifestyle modification.
• Provide nutrition education for patients and staff when required.
• Maintain accurate and confidential nutritional assessment and patient records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinical meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
• Support preventive healthcare initiatives and wellness programmes.
• Stay updated on current nutrition research, clinical guidelines, and best practices.
• Ensure all dietary recommendations are evidence-based and aligned with patient safety and clinical requirements.
• Uphold LECC\'s standards of professionalism, patient-centred care, confidentiality, and service excellence.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics or a relevant qualification.
• Must be duly registered/licensed with the appropriate professional regulatory body in Nigeria.
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and clinical nutrition.
• Excellent communication and counselling skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Good documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
