Responsibilities

• Monitor and update policy renewal schedule.
• Maintain, manage and update claims database within geographical locations in Nigeria.
• Keeping records of premium and in consultant with account department to ensure timely settlement of premium.
• Conduct periodic claim reviews to assist in training plans.
• Compute and analyze fixed assets data.
• Preparation of reports (weekly and monthly)
• Premium computation and calculations on all insurances.
• Managing softcopies of all endorsement, certificates and policies.
• Maintenance of all files.
• Sending of credit notes issued to various units.
• Generate and circulate monthly claims updates report to each unit.
• Generates reports used for insurance analysis for local management, various companies and management.
• Monitor and give report on the status of each claim for prompt settlement.
• Monitors premium payments and disbursement on POT from various units.
• Coordinate with account/Mumbai on all payment transactions.
• Track and record payments of loss adjusters/investigators along with our account departments.
• Give cost analysis reports on POT.
• Give report on salvage bids.

Requirements

• Previous Experience as a Data Analyst
• B.Sc/HND – Insurance/Actual Science or Allied Discipline.
• Membership of Insurance Bodies will be a clear advantage
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for Data Analysis and Reporting
• Familiarity with accounting software like ERP, SAGE, Quickbook among others
• 4 to 5 years experience in a Manufacturing/Processing company is an added advantage
• Ability to pay attention to minute details

• Document cash, credit, fixed asset, accrued expenses and line of credit transaction
• Completed daily cash functions like account tracking, payroll and wage allocations and cash and banking reconciliation
• Reconciled account and reviewed expenses data, net worth and assets
• Conducted technical and analytical review of tax returns to check for accuracy and qualified deductions
• Used advanced software to prepare documents, reports and presentations
• Collected and reported monthly expenses variance and explanations
• Cooperate with senior accountant to make files easy for audit process

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or an HND in Accounting or related discipline from any recognized institution
• 1-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Qualifications (ACCA or ICAN) certification is a plus but not compulsory.
• knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
• Knowledge of data entry is required.
• Must reside in Ibeju-Lekki and its environs.

• Managing the registration and acknowledgment of claims in the dedicated claim register.
• Initiating the claim process by opening claim files and generating unique claim reference numbers.
• Informing brokers about newly filed claims to ensure timely communication.
• Coordinating the collection of claim supporting documents from relevant units and forwarding them to brokers based on the insurance class.
• Proactively engaging with units, sending regular reminders, and ensuring timely submission of required documents for comprehensive claims documentation.
• Timely appointment of loss adjusters for claim investigations and diligently following up to expedite the submission of adjustment reports to our insurer.
• Ensuring the swift receipt of offer letters for claims.
• Collaborating with brokers to expedite the settlement of claims, actively updating claim files with payment information.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date claim registers to track outstanding documents on various claims.
• Systematically recording all reports submitted by risk adjusters and investigators.
• Monitoring monthly Good-in-Transit declarations, facilitating prompt payments to brokers.
• Undertaking any additional duties as assigned by the organization.

Qualifications
