Purpose/Role:
The principal responsibility of a mason is to ensure masonry works are carried out according to specifications: the right materials, tools and equipment are used for all masonry tools according to the supervisors’ specification.

Key aims and objectives:

• Ensure that the supervisor’s work specifications are adhered to in all construction works.
• Should be able to execute levelling of concrete structures according to supervisor’s directive.
• Inspection of repair work, projects, equipment and report to the supervisor.
• Give proper account of material stock in store /laydown and report to the supervisor.

Prime Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist the supervisor in monitoring supply of materials to ensure that materials supplied are of high quality, for ensuring that works are completed in safe, proper and timely manner.
• Transfer materials, tools and equipment to sites where construction works are carried on.
• Work closely with the iron bender and ensure that work is executed according to supervisor’s specification.
• Assist plumbers in masonry works where required i.e. hydrants, chambers, septic tanks, gutters culverts drains.

Other Duties:
All other reasonable duties when requested.

The Person:

• Must possess a minimum of S.S.C.E with 5 years industrial work experience.
• Trade test with industrial work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of the occupation and ability to adhere to occupational hazards precautions.
•  Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Possess ability to use building tools, equipment and materials.

Purpose/Role:
Principal responsibility for furniture making/repairs, roof repair/installations. Ceiling fabrication, wood work, concrete formwork fabrication, aluminum doors/window repairs, aluminum profile/partitioning works.

Key aims and objectives:

• To ensure that all furniture works are done according to specification.
• To ensure that all concrete formworks are fabricated to specification.
• To fabricate ceiling boards and install them according to specifications.
• To maintain aluminum /wooden doors and windows.
• To maintain roof structures and install new roof structures.

Prime Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform task assigned by foremen and supervisors.
• Assist in stock keeping of our carpentry materials like plywood, planks, hardwood/softwoods, nails, ceiling boards.
• Assist supervisors /project managers on wood fabrication in projects.
• Inspects repairs and report to foremen and supervisor.
• Transfer materials and equipment from one project to another for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
• Assist supervisors and foremen in levelling operations during concrete works/plumbing activities.
• Adhere to HSEQ safety rules on site to minimize hazards.
• Report all safety concerns, all incidents/accidents to foremen and supervisors.

Other Duties:
All other reasonable duties when requested.

The Person:

• The applicant   should be not more than 38 years old.
• The applicant   should possess a minimum   of S.S.C.E with at least5 years working experience as a carpenter.
• Can use   carpentry work tools, operate carpentry machineries and equipment.
• Applicant should possess good interpersonal communication skill, and be able and always willing to work with others.

Purpose
The principal responsibility of the plumber is installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal.

Key aims and objectives

• The plumber is to Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components.
• Identify required tools and special equipment
• Select the type and size of pipes required.
• Install supports and hangers for pipes, Fixtures and equipment
• Assemble and install valves and fittings.
• Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls.
• Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems
• Install, repair and maintains plumbing fixtures, appliance and trim.
• Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.

Prime Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures
• Apply all codes to installations, repairs and maintenance
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded.
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes.
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environment protection requirements.
• Keeps daily reports

Other Duties:
Performs other related duties as required

Key Internal Interfaces:
Plant / Water Treatment Supervisor / Foreman

The Person

• Must possess minimum of a trade test with 3 years industrial work experience.
• Journeyman Certification in plumbing from any recognized and accredited post-secondary institution
• Must have knowledge of water distribution and waste water disposal in commercial, residential and industrial buildings
• Must possess team building skills.
• Must possess good oral and written communication skill
• Must always be ready to work whenever needed, even under pressure
