Context
The External Relations Department (ExRel) is responsible for engaging with private individuals and organisations to build awareness about NRC and raise funds for an organisation that works for people forced to flee. To achieve this, ExRel operates across four main areas; Public Engagement ensuring that the voice of NRC and the people we serve are being heard; Global Fundraising raising unearmarked funds from private individuals for the NRCs mission; Donor Management securing our income from regular donors, and Corporate Relations collaborating with the private corporate sector to attract and maintain grants and pro bono resources for the organisation; Governance ensuring that department activities are aligned in a way that supports the department overall goals and are operated in a way that meets the laws and regulations within each country of operation.
The Donor Management section (DM) is accountable for the maintenance and development of the regular donor portfolio. This includes analytics, donor service, and work related to managing and developing the regular donor portfolio.

What you will do
Reporting to the head of Donor Management, the CRM Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining all data flows in the Donor Management.
Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Responsible for maintaining all data pipelines and operating procedures.
- Improve relevant data capture, quality, availability, and transparency globally.
- Contribute to global department tech stack strategy.
- Collaborate across the department to identify process improvements and new opportunities.
- Act as second line of donor support, if fist line (donor service officers) can't solve the issue in hand
- Responsible for reconciliation of data from fundraising systems, financial systems, payment providers and banking systems
- Contribute to market activities upselling, cross selling and reactivation towards the NRC regular donor base
- Responsible for developing guidelines, procedures and routines within donor management, and coordinate translation and implementation in other markets.
- Responsible for managing the annual “tax campaign”, including communication products, sufficient staff capacity and training.
- Take initiative and drive forward technical improvements and ensure that is in-line with section strategy
- Joint responsibility for training of relevant donor service officers
What you will bring
- 3+ years of documented experience with Salesforce or similar CRM and integrations.
- Strong understanding of payment service providers.
- Documented experience in data warehouse management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English, and other languages (specifically Norwegian) are an advantage.
- Strong ability to motivate colleagues and collaborate and communicate.

What you will do
Reporting to the head of Donor Management, the Donor Systems Specialist will be responsible for advising, guiding, and developing our technology portfolio (including but not limited to): technology, automation, and integrations as focal points for new and existing solutions.
Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Responsible for advising and designing the Donor Management technical architecture. (Salesforce is a central component of our portfolio)
- Responsible for enabling and ensuring that the unit works within test-driven development and documentation practices.
- Focal point for external stakeholders during collaborations with the team.
- Responsible for release management for the sections’ tech stack.
- Advise, guide, and develop all units within the department on relevant subjects (including but not limited to): technology, automation, and integrations as focal-point for new and existing solutions.
- Lead and collaborate with external partners and suppliers.
- Ensure section tech stack is fit for purpose.
- Improve relevant data capture, quality, availability, and transparency globally.
- Contribute to global department tech stack strategy.
- Collaborate across departments to identify process improvements and new opportunities.
What you will bring
- Proven experience in applying technology to business objectives to achieve results.
- 5+ years experience within Salesforce, related ecosystems, and payments.
- 5+ of years development within complex cloud system architecture with multiple dependencies.
- Documented experience in mentoring less experienced team members.
- Strong understanding of dev-ops and release management best practices.
- Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines and maintaining test-driven development practices within a team.
- Documented experience in designing technical architecture according to best practices.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and other languages are an advantage.

What you will do
Reporting to the head of donor management, the Donor Journey Specialist will analyze donor behavior across touchpoints and measure donor behavior’s impact on business outcomes over time.
Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Extracting and analyzing all relevant data/statistics.
- Develop activities that will increase loyalty and growth and monitor results.
- Contribute to market activities upselling, cross-selling, and reactivation towards the NRC regular donor base.
- Create new business insights that help define the fundraising and donor strategy.
- Responsible for management of information and analytics to increase efficiency and fundraising performance.
- Perform investigative research and analysis of large, complex data sets.
- Provide predictive and descriptive models to use for campaigns and automated fundraising and marketing initiatives for Next Best Action.
- Produce benchmarking and best practice analysis of fundraising and growth performance.
- Define improvements for improvements activities and processes, establish baselines and measure the effect.
- Recommend improvement and innovation initiatives based on insights, and lead execution through task forces in a cross functional team.
- Educate and support the department by enhancing data analysis skills and enable them to make their own dashboards and other insights to track their own performance.
- Contribute to data capture strategy.
- Perform complex analysis, communicate insights tailored to different audiences and contribute to strategy based on the findings.
What you will bring
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar field.
- Knowledge of and experience working with databases, Salesforce, as well as utilising visualisation tools such as Power BI/Tableau.
- Understanding of data modelling and data design.
- Documented abilities to form hypotheses based on results from analysis.
- Documented results in improving results and performance within donor\customer lifecycle management.
- Excellent data analytics and presentation skills.
- Documented experience with and thorough understanding of content and performance marketing.
- Fluency is English is mandatory.
