    Crew / Operations Support Officer

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Populate the Crew Certification Matrix and keep track of when crew certificates are close to expiration and coordinate for their renewals.
    • Update the crew ROTA travel plan after each crew change weekly with the right dates of joining and disembarkation as well as dedicated number of days to be spent onboard or ashore.
    • Support basic HR administrative duties.
    • Support in sourcing for suitable crew to fill vacant positions on vessels in accordance with STCW2010.
    • Assist with crew change coordination and crew rotation planning.
    • Have periodic offshore visit to clients' vessels as may be required.
    • Support other departments by providing documents when needed.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned to you.

    Requirements
    Education:

    • Degree or Diploma in any Maritime course.
    • Additional qualifications related to maritime industry or crew management would be an advantage.

    Key Attributes & Skills:

    • Some basic knowledge of the maritime industry, and oil & gas offshore operations is desirable.
    • Must be a quick learner, teachable, curious, inquisitive, and not afraid to be challenged.
    • Must be confident and not be easily intimidated.
    • Proficient in MS Office applications.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to ask relevant questions and provide thorough explanations.
    • Good attention to detail and good analytical skills.
    • Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced project environment.
    • Must be result-oriented and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary / multinational environment.

    Account Officer

    Job Description

    • Compute, remit, and file applicable VAT (Value Added tax) returns on a monthly basis.
    • Perform various daily tax operations, ensuring that all policies and procedures are always fully followed.
    • Assist in preparing and distributing Payslips.
    • Responsible for updating account payable and completing reconciliations.
    • Prepare PAYE Returns documentations and tax obligation for the relevant tax authorities.
    • Compute monthly WHT and NCD computation, remittances and provide payees with receipts.
    • Review and analyse invoices and other financial documents and perform tax accounts reconciliation.
    • File monthly and annual returns with the relevant tax authorities across 36 locations.
    • Managing financial records in compliance with Tax and Accounting Laws.
    • Manage issues that arise from the tax audit.
    • Provide information to answer any queries raised by the relevant tax authorities in respect to PAYE Returns.
    • Prepare monthly tax report and finalize all pre-close activities.
    • Apply for and obtain the TCC for all employees (local and upcountry).
    • Undertake all correspondences relating to objection to any disputed Notice of Assessment.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned to you.

    Key Job Roles

    • Payment of statutory taxes
    • Preparing tax returns, Filling of tax returns, analysing tax regulations, monitoring industry trends, and completing tax reports.
    • Responding to tax queries
    • Maintaining accurate financial reports

    Minimum Requirements

    • Education 1st Degree in Accounting, Finance
    • Studying towards professional qualification eg ICAN, CITN ACCA etc
    • 1-3 years practical experience
    • Ability to handle and prepare financial reports.
    • Good knowledge of MS packages (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
    • Experience in using Accounting Software is an added advantage.

    Pay Scale
    N120,000 / month.
