    Corporate Analyst

    Role Responsibilities
    Insightful and Rigorous Analysis

    • Write in-depth, high-quality, and focused research on credit trends, including thought-leading reports on corporates, sub-national, and non-bank financial institutions.
    • Become a recognised authority on your portfolio of rated corporate entities and developments in the corporate sectors.

    Ratings accuracy

    • Perform in-depth fundamentals credit analysis on a portfolio of Nigerian corporates, sub nationals, and non-bank financial institutions. Present your analysis at the committees.
    • Monitor developments and ensure ratings are accurate and forward-looking.

    Effective Communication with Debt Capital Market and Issuers

    • Build and maintain high-quality relationships with fixed-income investors, financial media, and senior management of corporate companies.
    • Operate independently but supported by the rest of the analytical team in enhancing the company's Corporate franchise through developing and deepening outreach with key external stakeholders.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Proven credit/risk assessment experience, including strong corporate analysis experience, likely to be gained from an investment bank, a corporate company, a financial institution, a regulator, or a public accounting firm.
    • Understanding of Nigeria’s corporate sectors, their regulatory environment, and the key issues affecting the various economic sectors/the main players and key industry drivers.
    • Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, with some public speaking experience.
    • Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills.
    • Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
    • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
    • The successful candidate should have a strong academic background at least equivalent to a BSc in a relevant area and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
    • ACA/ACCA/CFA/CIMA professional qualification would be highly beneficial
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Analyst (Financial Institutions)

    Role responsibilities:

    Analysis:

    • Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
    • Good understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standard

    • Strong academic background at least equivalent to a BSc in a relevant area and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
    • ACA/ACCA/CFA/CIMA professional qualification would be highly beneficial.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Head of Consumer Credit Products

    Job Responsibilities

    • Own the consumer credit programme end-to-end: licensing strategy, product design, credit policy, regulatory engagement, and commercial performance
    • Lead licence applications across multiple African markets, working with regulators and external counsel
    • Design products for underserved consumers, including pricing architecture that complies with local regulation
    • Build an approach that draws on alternative repayment data rather than traditional credit bureau history alone
    • Define collections operations, portfolio targets, and risk management (NPL, provisioning, recovery) across markets
    • Engage development finance institutions and other capital partners to fund the credit book as it scales
    • Build and manage a small team as the programme grows

    Candidate Requirements

    • 3–7 years building or scaling a product from scratch in Sub-Saharan Africa, West Africa, or emerging Asian markets — asset financing, device financing, PAYGO, or digital lending
    • Direct, hands-on experience inside a licence application in at least one African or Asian market — not an observer role
    • First-hand experience designing credit policy and managing an own-book consumer loan portfolio, including NPL rates, provisioning, and recovery
    • Track record running multi-country workstreams simultaneously, not sequentially
    • Experience building a consumer pricing model
    • West Africa regulatory experience — Francophone/WAEMU regional licensing frameworks and/or Nigeria financial services licensing — is particularly valued given the complexity of these markets
    • East Africa regulatory experience — Kenya and/or Uganda — is also a strong asset
    • Familiarity with device-based enforcement mechanisms in an asset-financing or PAYGO context
    • Existing relationships with development finance institutions in the digital credit or asset-financing space
    • Background at a leading PAYGO, asset-financing, or digital lending company operating in emerging markets

    Head of Commercial

    • A leading paints and coatings manufacturer and distributor is looking for a Head of Commercial to join their team. The Head of Commercial will lead the organisation’s commercial strategy and drive profitable growth across sales, distribution, project and technical sales, retail development, and customer experience. (Reports to MD)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy to deliver revenue, margin and market-share growth.
    • Lead sales, distribution, key accounts, project/technical sales and customer experience.
    • Expand and optimise the distributor, dealer and retail network across Nigeria.
    • Drive the growth and profitability of the retail store network, including new-store rollout and underperforming-store turnaround.
    • Build project, technical and B2B sales into a significant growth channel.
    • Strengthen customer acquisition, retention, satisfaction and overall customer experience.
    • Own commercial forecasting, pricing, budgeting, performance reporting and key commercial KPIs.
    • Manage channel profitability, trade terms, credit exposure and commercial risks.
    • Build, coach and retain a high-performing commercial leadership team.
    • Work closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, HR and Technical teams to deliver business objectives.
    • Represent the organisation with major customers, partners, industry bodies and other external stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
    • 15+ years’ relevant commercial/sales experience, with significant senior leadership exposure.
    • Strong experience in FMCG, building materials, paints/coatings, consumer products or similar sectors.
    • Proven track record of delivering revenue and margin growth.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian distribution and route-to-market dynamics.
    • Experience managing a P&L, large commercial teams and multi-channel operations.
    • Experience in retail network expansion and/or franchise operations is highly desirable.
    • Strong commercial, financial, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
