• We're looking for a creative, commercially minded Copywriter to join our Brand & Marketing team. 
• You'll work closely with Marketing, Product, Growth, Design, CRM, and Customer Experience teams to create clear, concise, and user-friendly copy for our digital products. 
• This is a hands-on role for someone who understands consumer behavior, can adapt their writing across multiple channels, and knows how to craft messaging that resonates with Nigerian audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging, and user-centered copy across FairMoney's digital products and marketing channels, including the mobile app, website, CRM campaigns, social media, product interfaces, and marketing materials.
• Translate complex financial products and services into simple, relatable messaging that customers can easily understand and trust. 
• Create campaign concepts, headlines, taglines, scripts, and calls-to-action that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Adapt messaging for different customer segments while maintaining a consistent FairMoney tone of voice across all touchpoints.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Growth, Design, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams to develop and execute high-impact campaigns. 
• Create culturally relevant content that reflects the realities, language, and everyday experiences of Nigerian consumers.
• Edit and proofread copy across the business, ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand and regulatory standards. 
• Support product launches, seasonal campaigns, employer branding, partnerships, and customer education initiatives.
• Stay informed on customer insights, market trends, and competitor messaging to improve communication effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related discipline. 
• 3–5 years of professional copywriting experience, ideally within fintech, banking, e-commerce, or any digital first business.
• Exceptional written English with excellent editing, proofreading, and copywriting skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas through clear, compelling messaging.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian culture, consumer behavior, and local communication styles.
• Professional proficiency in English and Yoruba, with the ability to create original marketing copy in both languages, not simply translate content.
• Experience writing persuasive copy across a range of formats.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and measurable business impact.
• Ability to simplify technical or financial concepts into content that is clear, engaging, and trustworthy.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Marketing, CRM, and Customer Support with the ability to incorporate feedback quickly and effectively. 
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

• Working proficiency in additional Nigerian languages such as Igbo or Hausa.
• Experience localizing campaigns for different regions and audiences across Nigeria.
• Background in UX writing.
• Experience writing for regulated industries where accuracy and compliance are essential.
• Familiarity with SEO, CRM communications, and AI-assisted content creation tools while maintaining high editorial standards.

• We're looking for a Head of Design who believes great design should drive business outcomes, not just beautiful interfaces.
• You'll lead design across Product and Marketing, shaping everything from UX and UI to brand campaigns and creative direction. 
• You'll work at the intersection of customer experience, product strategy and marketing, using AI as a natural extension of your creative process to build a world-class design function.
• This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll define the vision, raise the quality bar, mentor designers, challenge assumptions and help shape one of Africa's fastest-growing fintechs.

What You'll Own

Shape FairMoney's design vision:

• Own the end-to-end design strategy across Product and Marketing, creating a consistent experience across every customer touchpoint from acquisition campaigns to product interactions and long-term engagement.

Build a world-class design function:

• Lead and evolve a multidisciplinary design organization spanning Product Design, Brand Design and Creative. Establish high standards, scalable processes and a culture of craft, ownership and continuous improvement.

Create experiences customers love:

• Drive UX and UI excellence across our mobile and web products. Champion customer research, usability testing and data-informed decision making to simplify complex financial experiences.

Elevate our brand:

• Lead the creative direction for marketing campaigns and brand initiatives that increase awareness, strengthen trust and differentiate FairMoney in highly competitive markets.

Own design's impact on Marketing:

• Partner closely with Product, Growth and Marketing to improve the metrics that matter from acquisition and onboarding completion to activation, engagement and retention.

Embed AI into the creative workflow:

• Champion AI-first design practices across the team. Continuously experiment with emerging tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, creative production and operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional quality.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 12 months, you'll have:

• Established a unified design vision across Product and Marketing.
• Raised the quality and consistency of FairMoney's user experience.
• Improved key acquisition and product metrics through better design.
• Embedded AI into the team's everyday workflow.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience across Product Design, UX/UI, Brand Design or Creative Direction.
• Experience leading design teams in digital-first companies, mobile-first products, startups or leading design agencies.
• A portfolio demonstrating excellence across both product experience and brand storytelling.
• Outstanding UX and UI judgment, with the ability to connect design decisions to customer behavior and business outcomes.
• Experience leading creative campaigns and building memorable customer experiences across digital channels.
• Strong understanding of design systems, user research and experimentation.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and align Product, Marketing and Engineering around a shared vision.
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve quickly and execution matters.
