    Cloud Architect - Finops

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement FinOps strategies for Azure cost visibility, optimization, and governance.
    • Optimize compute, storage, and network costs using Reserved Instances (RI), Savings Plans, Spot VMs, and Auto-scaling.
    • Conduct predictive cost analysis using Azure Cost Management.
    • Establish chargeback/showback models for cloud consumption transparency.
    • Automate cost monitoring using Azure Monitor, Cost APIs, and Log Analytics.
    • Proficiency in Tagging Strategies for Cost Allocation and Governance.
    • Design automated budget alerts and cost-saving actions using Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Power BI dashboards.
    • Use Azure Functions or Power Automate to enforce cost control policies dynamically.
    • Define FinOps best practices and enforce Azure Policy & Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
    • Ensure compliance with CFO governance, SOC2, ISO 27001, and financial reporting standards.
    • Develop cost governance frameworks for multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
    • Work closely with Finance, Engineering, and Cloud Operations teams to implement FinOps cultural transformation.
    • Develop multi-year cloud budget forecasts aligned with business goals.
    • Use Power BI and Cost APIs to create real-time spend analysis dashboards.
    • Optimize Reserved Instance (RI) purchases and auto-renewal policies based on usage patterns.
    • Conduct cost-saving workshops and training for internal teams. 

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Cost Optimization, Cloud Finance, or Cloud Architecture.
    • Deep expertise in Azure Cost Management, FinOps Framework, and Budgeting.
    • Designing Cloud Cost Optimization Strategies while maintaining performance and reliability.
    • Strong experience with Cloud Financial Governance and Policy-Based Cost Controls.
    • Experience in Analyzing Billing Data and Usage Trends to reduce cloud costs.
    • Implementing Cloud Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cost Chargeback Models.
    • Ability to Automate Cost Reporting and Alerting.
    • Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Cost Implications.
    • Knowledge of Anomaly Detection in Cloud Billing and Resource Utilization.
    • Collaborating with Finance, Engineering, and Product Teams to align on Cloud Cost Strategies.
    • Hands-on experience with Azure Pricing Calculator, RI Management, and Savings Plans.
    • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) for cost-efficient deployments.
    • Strong written and verbal English skills for effective communication and collaboration.
    • Ability to analyze cloud cost data and identify optimization opportunities. 
    • Effectively communicating cost insights to stakeholders across Finance, Engineering, and Business teams. 
    • Work with cross-functional teams to implement cost governance. 
    • Find innovative ways to reduce cloud costs without impacting performance. 
    • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of cloud expenses. 
    • Align cloud financial strategies with business goals. 
    • Keep up with evolving cloud pricing models and FinOps practices. 

    Preferred Skills: 

    • Experience with multi-cloud FinOps (Azure, OCI) and hybrid-cloud cost governance.
    • Certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure FinOps Expert.
    • Knowledge of AI-driven cloud cost prediction models and ML-based anomaly detection.
    • Knowledge of Sustainability and Green Cloud Cost Optimization.
    • Familiarity with Data Analytics and Business Intelligence (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for FinOps Reporting.
    • Familiarity with SaaS and PaaS pricing strategies.

    Responsibilities

    • Implement and maintain Azure cloud networking solutions, including Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute, VPNs, and Azure Firewall.
