    Center Manager

    Job Description

    • The Center Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the daily professional operations in the center.
    • We expect an ideal candidate to treat our staff and patients with utmost professionalism, attend to patients promptly, and relate with them with respect and kindness.

    Summary of Duties
    The day-to-day routine of the Head of Operations includes the following key responsibilities;

    • Ensuring and maintaining the health and safety of the workforce.
    • Carrying out and attaining the mission and the goals of BeaconHealth Diagnostics.
    • Lead and direct a high-performing team to successfully accomplish organizational goals and objectives.
    • Development of increased effectiveness and efficiency in all departments.
    • Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and high performance.
    • Lead the marketing efforts at the center and also create and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, corporate clients and HMOs.

    Detailed Listing of Responsibilities
    Planning and Execution:

    • Participates in the implementation of the company’s corporate strategy by providing strategic insights and inputs on all of the Center’s functions
    • Coordinates the development and administration of the department’s business strategy and implementation initiatives
    • Works with HQ team members in the formulation, and administration of the policies and processes governing the management of the Diagnostic Center functions ensuring they are in line with its corporate strategy, key business objectives, industry leading practices, standards and applicable laws
    • Monitors the institutionalization of a customer focus culture and high performance across the Diagnostic Center functions
    • Oversees the preparation and management of the annual budget for the Center
    • Determines the most effective and cost-beneficial delivery model for providing support services
    • Reviews reports from all the units within the Diagnostics Center and provides periodic updates to the Management of the organization.

    Business Operations:

    • Maintains Diagnostic equipment performance by establishing quality standards; developing operations, quality, and troubleshooting procedures; ensuring staff compliance; certifying instrument performance; arranging equipment replacement, service, and repair
    • Maintains diagnostic center supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
    • Maintains diagnostic center productivity by monitoring workload of functional areas; identifying peak and slack periods; making operational or staffing adjustment
    • Maintains quality results by implementing a Quality Management System (QMS); reviewing quality control and quality assurance programs; making adjustments in policy and procedures; generating reports; maintaining records
    • Maintains medical laboratory information system by identifying information needs and problems; recommending improvements; establishing priorities; testing; writing user manuals; training employees; maintaining security and confidentiality
    • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
    • Makes daily rounds in center to judge the effectiveness of operations, utilization of personnel and supplies, and general ethical and professional atmosphere
    • Prepares department budgets for personnel, operating expenses and capital equipment
    • Consults other departments, as appropriate, to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities.
    • Establishes and maintains standards of performance and ensures competency and appropriate licensure of personnel
    • Maintains diagnostic center staff working with the People Operations team to recruit, select, orient, and train employees
    • Responsible for providing 24/7 functionality of Laboratory Services.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff and administration.
    • Communicates administrative directive to department personnel
    • Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with all internal/external stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery
    • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements as it concerns all Medical Lab and Diagnostic Center functions

    Leadership and People Management:

    • Provides overall leadership and direction for the achievement of agreed targets/objectives for the Medical Lab and Diagnostic Center functions
    • Supports the implementation and facilitation of relevant workshops and training courses
    • Promotes the company’s core values (Integrity, Teamwork, Equity, Excellence, Innovation, Learning and Adaptability) and a strong team culture
    • Manages the day-to-day performance, learning and development of the team, including one on one feedback sessions and conduct performance appraisals

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Must possess a Bachelor's Ddegree from a recognized tertiary institution
    • A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant or related post-NYSC experience leading diagnostic center
    • Expert knowledge of performance trends and best practices in the healthcare industry
    • Must demonstrate an ability to lead a team to success
    • Excellent administrative skills with the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive record-keeping ensuring meticulous attention to details.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
    • Must possess high integrity, good communication, and presentation skills.

    Community Health Extension Worker

    Job Description

    • Are you looking to join a vibrant team to hone and develop your skills? We are recruiting a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) to join our HMO & Business Growth Team.
    • The overall duties expected of the position are to provide administrative support to the team, act as a liaison between HQ, HMO providers and patients and also be able to provide nursing services to patients.

    Detailed Listing of Responsibilities

    • Review and analyze patient Information
    • Take patients’ samples, temperatures, pulses, and blood pressures
    • Observe and monitor patients’ conditions
    • Function as an intermediary between HMO providers, patients, and HQ Growth Team
    • Verify HMO patients for laboratory and radiology
    • Record patient information in computerized logs.
    • Efficient in chaperon of patients to various consulting rooms.
    • Handle claims process with the Finance team.
    • Coordinate with Logistics Team to ensure all samples are picked up
    • Coordinate with Lekki Centre to ensure all results are received.
    • Ensure proper documentation of all documents.

    Requirements

    • Ideal candidate must possess a Diploma in Community Health (CHEW)
    • 1 – 3 years’ experience working as a nurse or CHEW in healthcare sector
    • Must be a certified Community Health Extension Worker from a recognized school of Health Technology.
    • Must possess a current practice license from the relevant regulating body.
    • Candidate should be computer proficient
    • Must have sound relevant knowledge in general nursing operations
    • Excellent, communication and people skills
    • Demonstrated administrative skills and attention to detail.
    • Must be able to work in a team.
    • Must be able to commute to work at Lekki or Victoria Island with ease.
