    Front Desk Officer/Receptionist

    Job Description 

    • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
    • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
    • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.
    • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
    • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
    • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
    • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
    • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
    • Update calendars and schedule meetings.
    •  Arrange travel and accommodation and prepare vouchers.
    • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs.
    • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.

    Skills and Requirement

    • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers).
    • Professional attitude and appearance.
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
    •  Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Customer service attitude
    • High school degree: additional certification in Office Management is a plus.

    Assistant Steel Fabrication Manager

    Job Details

    • Overseeing the production process.
    • Work closely with the Production Manager on a daily basis to assist with procurement and logistics of items required for operational activities.
    • Plan, execute and take daily report on each job being assigned and giving progress report on the workers’ task accomplishment.
    • Communicating with project engineers and project team to ensure effective management of shop drawings.
    • Ensuring that production is cost effective. 
    • Ensuring that products are produced in a timely manner and are produced within quality guidelines.
    • Ability to proactively foresee production bottlenecks and proffer professional advise that will help ensure the delivery of client\'s product on due dates.
    • Liaising with different departments to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
    • Working with department heads to uphold and implement SCNL policies and goals
    • Supervising and motivating a team of workers.
    • Identifying training needs, and ensuring proper training is provided.
    • Produce accurate material take-off lists from shop drawings.
    • Compile loading lists, plate take-offs and fitting sheets.
    • Manage and coordinate shop drawings, ensuring they are current and ensuring that the correct paperwork are attached.
    • Ensuring that shop drawings are issued to the Workshop on timely manner.
    • Effective cordination with the procurement unit to get raw materials on time from suppliers.
    • Checking incoming product to ensure purchase orders, delivery dockets and actual materials and goods received match.
    • Assist with daily production scheduling.
    • Preparation of drawings to assist fabrication.
    • Working on CNC plasma machine. 

    SKILLS

    • Experience in the Steel fabrication industry.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
    • Leadership and management capabilities.
    • Adequate knowledge of the construction industry, current trends and best practices especially for steel fabrication.
    • Experience in managing operational activities is key.
    • Significant problem solving and analytical abilities.
    • Strong communication and delegation skills.
    • Strong understanding and interpretation of technical drawings.
    • Vast interpersonal relationship and Can-Do- Spirit.
    • Skills in continuous development in current trends and best practices in the construction & fabrication industry.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Possess a relevant degree in Engineering/Building& Construction/ Architecture/Technology.
    • MBA and other additional qualifications would be an added advantage.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft suites, AUTOCAD.
    • Should have basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018.
    • Possibility of resuming immediately will be highly valued.

    Note: Proximity to Illupeju, Anthony- Oshodi axis of Lagos State is an added advantage.

    Steel Fabrication Quality Control Officer

    JOB DESCRIPTION 

    • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
    • Work with the Factory manager to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality. 
    • Educate workers on the required standards.
    • Note and report on work that does not meet requirements.
    • Interpret and review shop drawings.
    • Inspect completed work and/or work in progress to determine whether the work meets specifications and plan requirements.
    • Monitor overall construction performance with regard to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.
    • Approve in-process construction/fabrication by confirming required specifications.
    • Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests.
    • Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work.
    • Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs.
    • Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
    • Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to grow leadership in others.
    • Study the codes and required projects specifications.
    • Preparation of testing, qualification and certification processes for welding as per project specifications.
    • Monitor and ensures that welding is carried out in the right condition.
    • Provision of accurate data of the welding inspection parameters.
    • Preparation of relevant reports on welding activities.
    • Provision of professional supervision to the welding team.
    • Assist to prepare process work order sheets as per project specifications.

    QUALIFICATIONS
