The BISO is responsible for all IT Governance, Risk, Compliance and Assurance.
BISO is the Daystar cyber and information security lead responsible for:
- Risk-based cyber and information security protection.
- Ensuring risks are considered at the inception of every IT project.
- Leveraging the risk advisory team to manage the end-to-end Group CISO risk management processes as needed.
- Ensuring security and compliance with key standards and policies, minimizing Daystar’s exposure to preventable risks and unlocking value.
- Guiding Daystar’s Business/Functions to adapt Group CISO requirements by balancing value, affordability, do-ability and absorbability against risk exposure.
- Interfacing with Group CyberDefense Team when an incident occurs, managing the incident to closure, in other to protect Daystar’s landscape (systems, networks, and data) from cyber threats; ensuring the safety and security of sensitive information; and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data by implementing robust defence mechanisms.
- Manage IT security and operations risks, ensuring Daystar IDT can deliver secure and reliable products and services to the entire Group. The jobholder would also be responsible for ensuring risks to information assets are identified and understood, that appropriate action is taken to mitigate risks and that there is sustained compliance of the organisation / business unit and its associated customers, users, suppliers or partners with the controls framework and related policies, standards and processes.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Interfacing with Group CyberDefense Team when an incident occurs, managing the incident to closure, in order to protect Daystar’s landscape (systems, networks, and data) from cyber threats.
- Single point of contact for control, compliance and operations risk.
- Ensure IRM activities (e.g. risk acceptance, vulnerability, IRM projects, compliance status) are visible and actioned across Daystar. Reporting for Daystar Business and IDT leadership and facilitate review, escalation, drive implementation.
- Design and own Daystar Control and Compliance reporting & dashboard.
- Drive change and implement simplification including elimination.
- Drive gamification approach for Compliance and Control.
- Lead Daystar Think Secure Champions network.
- Act as Operational Readiness Framework Lead/Focal Point for Daystar.
- End-to-end accountable for the coordination and timely execution of outbound assurance to customers, partners and regulatory bodies.
- Work hand in hand with other BISOs, IDT community and business orchestrating execution of outbound assurance queries from customers, partners and regulatory bodies.
- Provide internal Assurance Services (incl. Testing): Performing end-to-end Compliance Testing on controls put in place to minimise risk. Focused Risk Reviews and Process Walk through for IT applications/processes to identify unmitigated risks.

We are looking to engage a competent and experienced IT Operations Manager to take end-to-end responsibility of the operations of Daystar Power Group IT landscape and delivery to the agreed Service Level and/or Operate Level Agreements. The jobholder is responsible for the day-to-day service integrator (end-to-end) to ensure application landscapes remain compliant. This role spans across all IDT Services & Operations (Network services, End User Support, Business Critical Services, Service Assurance, Compliance etc.) and across the Group. He or She will work closely with a network of partners and suppliers to ensure secure, reliable, and affordable end-to-end IT operations, whilst driving the digitalization journey and ensuring that regulatory and compliance controls are embedded in landscape operations and assist with evidence collection from the Lagos - Nigeria office.

Requirements
Service management
- Serve as a single point of oversight to incorporate all elements required to deliver a stable platform.
- Understand the end-to-end support model and SLAs linked to the services within landscape.
- Know the ITSM processes around Incident, Problem, Configuration, Change & Release, Major Incident Management, Service Delivery.
Change & Release Management
- Assess the impact of changes and aim to minimise business disruption.
- Ultimate sign off authority for Transition to Support.
- Assists with supportability and transition activities of enhancements and project solutions. This includes analysing and understanding business functional and non-functional requirements for supportability impact, as well as assessing implications of landscape changes and reviewing for enhancement and continuous improvement opportunities.
Asset management
- Ensure that IT assets are logged on “Service Now” or any other equivalent Asset Management tool and the Configuration Management Database is kept up to date.
Business Continuity
- Develop, Implement, execute Test and provide assurance that technical and organization facilities for IT business continuity are implemented and guaranteed.
IRM controls
- Ensure regulatory and compliance controls are embedded in landscape operations and assist with evidence collection.
- Be actively Informed on the assessments performed within your landscapes and implementation of the relevant controls.
- Continuously build knowledge of relevant information risks and regulatory requirements.
Vendor Management
- Manage the supplier relationships to deliver the expected contractual performance as a contract holder.
- Provide support on getting the supplier’s cooperation with required service management, security and assurance activities.

The individual would translate business strategy into data-specific actions and interventions, assess the benefits of new technologies and trends and collaborate with Data Value Owners to deliver key business benefits realization goals. The Data & Digital Engineer would lead a vibrant Group DIY (Do-It-Yourself) programme and developer community, other Data & Analytics Projects/Initiatives and provide leadership to Group DIY Coaches. The job holder would helps create a data-driven and automation thinking within the organization, not just within Daystar IDT, but also in the wider Business stakeholder community from the Lagos - Nigeria office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Modelling and Design: Develop and maintain comprehensive data models that accurately represent data structures and relationships. Design output tables to be provided to customers, identifying data sources/inputs, and suggesting changes. Draft data orchestration to indicate the type of data transformation required at each stage of the flow and scenarios for triggering these transformations. Utilize advanced modelling techniques and tools to create detailed visual representations, including entity-relationship diagrams, dimensional models and data flows.
- Project Delivery: Lead the design and implementation of data models and flows and new Technologies like AI and Hyper-automation in Daystar. Collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data models align with business needs and project objectives. Run the initial analysis of the requirement implementation feasibility by presenting the draft of data flow and collecting time and effort estimation from engineers.
- Data Platforms and Technology: Demonstrate an awareness level of understanding of data platforms and strategic technology landscape. Utilize AWS and Power BI for data acquisition, transformation, and visualization. Implement best practices for data management, governance, and compliance.
- Business Collaboration: Engage with business colleagues and end-users to understand their data and KPI requirements. Translate business needs into technical solutions, providing expert recommendations and insights to optimize data usage and reporting.
- Data Assurance: Develop and implement processes for data assurance to ensure the highest levels of data quality and integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. Candidates with degrees in other subjects but with strong hands-on domain achievements and relevant certifications in the areas listed above are also acceptable.
- Five (5) years experience in Data modelling, Data engineering, or Business analysis.
- Experience in building/optimizing complex queries and good grasp with data manipulation, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
- A good understanding of data foundation initiatives, like data modelling, data quality, data governance, data maturity assessments and data strategy in support of the key business stake holders.
- Proficient in using all or some of the following Tools - Power Apps (mandatory), Power BI (mandatory), Azure Machine Learning, Alteryx, Python and AI Builder.
- ITIL Certification (preferred).
- Certification in data modelling or related fields (preferred).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) and the use to run scrum meetings.
