Location: Lagos-Ibadan Expressway (Ogere & Ibadan Collation Centres)

Job Summary

• Our client seeks a proactive and resourceful Business Development Officer.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing scrap batteries, managing aggregator relationships, and overseeing collation centres in Ogere and Ibadan.
• This role requires strong negotiation skills, market awareness, and the ability to drive operational efficiency in the battery procurement process.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate leads and drive procurement of lead-acid batteries.
• Negotiate competitive, market-aligned purchase prices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of purchases, supplier records, and battery quality assessments.
• Oversee storage and handling of scrap batteries in line with environmental and internal guidelines.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors and manage feedback or complaints.
• Coordinate logistics and transportation of batteries to the factory in a cost-effective manner.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide strategic insights to the BD Supervisor.
• Support the coordination of special business development projects as assigned.

Requirements

• BSc in Business, Marketing, or any relevant field.
• 1–2 years’ experience in sales, business development, or procurement.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and travel as required.
• Familiarity with handling logistics and environmental compliance is a plus.

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee and drive sales activities.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing OTC and Ethical product lines, supervising medical/sales representatives, and building solid relationships with hospitals, institutions, and distributors within the region.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and ensure achievement of area targets for OTC and Ethical products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with major institutions, hospitals, and pharmaceutical distributors.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.
• Coach and support the field team to improve their skills, performance, and coverage.
• Ensure the effective implementation of marketing campaigns and product initiatives.
• Provide accurate and timely sales reports to management.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess field activities and build customer engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–3 years experience working as an Area Manager.
• Proven experience in handling both OTC and Ethical products.
• Solid understanding of institutional and retail pharmaceutical sales.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory.
