    Business Analyst

    Job Summary

    • The Business Analyst will be at the heart of our commercial strategy. You will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that directly impact our profitability and market positioning. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to analyze pricing models, monitor competitive landscapes, and identify opportunities for revenue growth. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who is passionate about using data to answer complex business questions and drive tangible financial results.

    Key Responsibilities

    Data Analysis & Modeling:

    • Analyze large datasets related to sales transactions, customer behavior, product performance, and market trends.
    • Develop and maintain pricing models to evaluate elasticity, discounting strategies, and promotional effectiveness.
    • Conduct scenario analysis and forecasting to predict the impact of potential pricing changes on revenue and margin.
    • Build and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for pricing and revenue health.

    Reporting & Visualization:

    • Create and automate dynamic dashboards (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) to provide stakeholders with clear, real-time visibility into pricing performance.
    • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on pricing metrics, competitive analysis, and revenue trends for senior leadership.

    Market & Competitive Intelligence:

    • Monitor and analyze competitor pricing strategies, product offerings, and market positioning.
    • Research and synthesize external market data to inform pricing decisions and identify new revenue opportunities.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Partner with the Marketing team to assess the impact of promotions and campaigns.
    • Work with the Sales team to develop data-driven guidance for deal structuring and negotiation.
    • Collaborate with the Product team to support pricing for new product launches and feature changes.
    • Provide analytical support to the Finance team for budgeting and forecasting exercises.

    Strategy & Recommendation:

    • Translate analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for pricing adjustments and strategic initiatives.
    • Present data-driven insights and proposals to management with confidence and clarity.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Required:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
    • Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience in a data analyst role, with a proven track record in pricing, revenue management, sales analytics, or a related commercial analytics function.
    • Technical Skills:
    • SQL: Advanced proficiency is required for complex data extraction and manipulation.
    • Data Visualization: High proficiency with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
    • Spreadsheets: Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.).
    • Statistical Analysis: Strong understanding of statistical concepts (correlation, regression, significance testing).
    • Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in industrial manufacturing and FMCG.
    • Knowledge: Familiarity with financial concepts (COGS, margin, P&L) and B2B/B2C sales cycles.
    • Business Acumen: Strong commercial sense and a deep curiosity about what drives business growth and profitability.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy and a commitment to data integrity.
    • Proactive & Curious: A self-starter who takes initiative and digs deeper to find the "why" behind the numbers.
    • Collaborative Team Player: Thrives in a cross-functional environment and builds strong working relationships.
