Job Brief

• We are looking for an experienced Back-end developer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the server side of our web applications.
• If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would like to meet you. As a Back-end developer, you’ll work closely with our engineers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.
• Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company's needs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Perform UI tests to optimize performance
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Provide training and support to internal teams
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies

Requirements and Skills

• BSc Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Proven work experience as a Back-end developer.
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment).
• Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python.
• Working knowledge of CMS framework.
• Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS).
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.

Job Description

• Manage day-to-day engineering workflow and design framework for the engineering process
• Design engineering architecture steps for every product to enhance smooth work-through for engineering team
• Create and communicate effectively with engineering tools in order to foster easy workflow within the team
• Manage timelines for projects and share with business development manager
• Recommends cloud infrastructure for each part of software computation, storage and integrations
• Recommend cost-effective resource tools for day-to-day engineering workflow, such as POSTMan, Africastalking etc
• Do DevOps for all tech infrastructure to ensure we reduce latency and software response time.
• Examine backend codes before commit to production server so as to ensure modularized codes, clean codes are deployed.
• Ensure detailed and quality software are deployed for both backend and frontend of the software.

Job Description

• We are seeking experienced Mobile Software Developers (Android or/and IOS) based on Lagos Mainland.
• You are responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse mobile devices.
• Your primary focus will be the development of mobile applications and their integration with back-end services.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of mobile applications
• Identify, correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Convert mock-ups and wireframes into android applications.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in programming
• Deep understanding of Kotlin, Java and any of Xamarin, React native, Swift, or Flutter.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
• Strong knowledge of Android native programming tools (e.g. Java, android studio, react-native), patterns, and best practices
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Doggedness, enthusiasm and attention to detail.
