    Audiologist

    About the job

    • We are seeking a qualified Audiologist to assess, diagnose, and manage hearing impairments.
    • The role involves conducting comprehensive hearing tests, developing treatment plans, fitting hearing aids, and providing auditory rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with medical professionals to ensure holistic patient care while maintaining accurate records and staying updated on advancements in audiology.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and diagnostic tests to identify hearing impairments and disorders.
    • Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, including hearing aid fittings, auditory rehabilitation, and counseling.
    • Administer a range of audiological tests such as pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry.
    • Collaborate with ENT specialists, speech-language pathologists, and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in audiology and recommend appropriate technologies and interventions.
    • Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and documentation of services provided.
    • Educate patients and their families on hearing health, communication strategies, and the proper use of hearing aids and assistive devices.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Audiology or Master's Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
    • 2 – 4 years’ experience in Audiology.
    • Knowledge of the principles and practice of clinical audiology.
    • Job holder must exhibit a commitment towards continuous quality improvement.
    • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care.
    • Proficiency in conducting audiological assessments and interpreting test results
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare colleagues.

    Optician

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a dedicated Optician to join our team.
    • The ideal candidate will interpret prescriptions from ophthalmologists and optometrists while advising patients on lens options and spectacle frames, including style, weight, and color.
    • Additionally, they will guide patients on the proper use and care of their eyewear and, with further training, provide expertise on contact lenses as a Contact Lens Optician (CLO).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Interpret prescriptions and assist patients in selecting appropriate eyeglasses or contact lenses.
    • Guide patients in frame selection based on face shape, color, and style preferences.
    • Perform fittings and adjustments to ensure proper alignment, comfort, and vision correction.
    • Collaborate with optical labs to ensure timely delivery and address order concerns.
    • Fabricate, grind, and polish lenses to precise specifications.
    • Measure and verify lenses to ensure they meet prescription requirements and are defect-free.
    • Maintain accurate patient records, prescriptions, and transactions.
    • Stay updated on optical technology, lens materials, and industry trends.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum academic qualification of an Ordinary Diploma (OND) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Dispensing Opticianry or any related science Degree.
    • Minimum of 1 to 3 years relevant work experience preferably in the health or Service sector.
    • Membership of a relevant professional body such as Association of Nigeria Dispensing
    • Opticians (ANDO) or Optometry and Dispensing Optician Board of Nigeria (O.D.O.B.N).
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
    • Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people MANAGEMENT skills.

    Optometrist

    Description

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Optometrist responsible for examining patients' eyes and providing comprehensive vision care.
    • The job holder will diagnose eye conditions such as myopia, glaucoma, astigmatism, and other vision impairments.
    • Additionally, the Optometrist will treat visual problems, prescribe corrective solutions, and provide vision therapy and low-vision rehabilitation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose eye diseases and infections.
    • Perform routine and follow-up eye exams for pediatric and adult patients.
    • Analyze test results and develop appropriate treatment plans.
    • Prescribe and dispense contact lenses, eyeglasses, and other visual aids.
    • Provide preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients.
    • Triage and screen acute or unscheduled patients.
    • Educate and counsel patients on visual hygiene, lens care, and safety.
    • Refer patients to ophthalmology specialists as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Academic qualification of Doctor of Optometry (OD).
    • 2 - 4 years relevant work experience preferably in the health or Sector.
    • Membership of a relevant professional body such as Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) or Optometry and Dispensing Optician Board of Nigeria (O.D.O.B.N).
