We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Athletic Coach to join our team in Benin City, Nigeria. As an Athletic Coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance the performance of athletes across various sports disciplines.

• Design and conduct effective training sessions to improve athletes' strength, speed, agility, and overall performance in extracurricular activities.
• Assess athletes' abilities and create personalized development plans
• Provide expert guidance on proper techniques, strategies, and tactics for specific sports
• Monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting training programs as needed
• Collaborate with other sports medicine professionals, and support staff to ensure holistic athlete development
• Organize and oversee team practices, competitions, and events
• Motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and injury prevention measures
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in sports science and coaching methodologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, theater arts or any related field
• Proven experience as an athletic coach with a track record of improving athletic performance
• Strong knowledge of sports and fitness techniques, including strength and conditioning principles
• In-depth understanding of sports physiology and biomechanics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, and staff
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
• Proficiency in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs
• Current first aid and CPR certification
• Relevant coaching certifications in specific sports disciplines
• Knowledge of nutrition and injury prevention strategies
• Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their goals
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Familiarity with local sports culture and athletic landscape in Nigeria is a plus
