    Assistant Brand Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist the marketing team in data gathering
    • Assist in executing brand plans and monitoring of projects with third parties. Market visit and situation report on a weekly/bi-weekly basis for the team appreciation of competition activities
    • Monitor, control and report brand performance through brands health indicators (NNS, GM, MC) and key consumer KPIs (market share, awareness, trial, attribute rating etc.) providing solutions to shortfalls
    • Support the management of the NPD process for the brand.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • A Degree in Social Sciences or related courses from a reputable university.
    • A Post Graduate degree in related field/s as well a Digital marketing skill would be a plus
    • 0-2 years of relevant experience in a reputable institution or experience within the FMCG industry.

    The Person Must Possess:

    • Strong analytical and critical thinking.
    • Time management skills.

    Territory Sales Manager

    Department Strategic Objectives

    • Lead in the delivery of customer and field sales business objectives towards the achievement of the overall organisation business and growth objectives

    Job Purpose

    • Work with the Distributor/Distributor sales team to deliver agreed business objectives within assigned territory.

    Responsible for: 

    • Van Sales Representative/Open Market Sales Representative
    • Must be able to influence, inspire and drive performance without having direct management responsibility for distributor staff

    Context / Scope

    • A key contributor to the success of the PZ Cussons commercial strategic plan with an effective and flexible field sales force; demonstrating industry leadership in both volume driving & brand building activity.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Achieve agreed business objectives/KPIs for the territory( Sell-out, Focus Brands, NPD listing, POP deployment, promotions etc.)
    • Implement outlet coverage strategy in assigned territory, enlist and keep updated database of relevant outlets.
    • Achieve sales drivers (Quality, Distribution, Visibility, Price/promotion) objectives for the territory.
    • Manage and review the activities of the Secondary Sales Force in assigned territory
    • Work with Area Sales Manager to develop Joint Business Plan of customers in assigned territory.
    • Monitor and manage execution of all Promotional /launch/ agencies activities in assigned territory.
    • Lead Market intelligence gathering and competitor activity monitoring and report timely.

    Measurement/Performance Indicators 

    • Target vs. Actual monthly/yearly performance (sell-out, KPIs)
    • Timely and quality of execution of trade and marketing activities in assigned territory)
    • Implementation of Territory Coverage Strategy

    • Minimum of 1 year experience in marketing or sales, and over this period has successfully delivered on KPIs.
    • Direct experience of PZ Cussons Way of selling capabilities with a focus on Sales Driver execution at the point of purchase (QDVP), Outlet Segmentation and Managing Relationships including structured call, persuasive selling and brand passion.

    Head of Category - Personal Hygiene

    Job Purpose

    Utilise a thorough understanding of the African consumer, customer and competitor environment to develop compelling category/brand strategies, aligned to group brand strategies

    Key Accountabilities

    Senior Procurement Manager

    Department Strategic Objectives

    • To source commodities and raw materials required by the business and ensure PZ Cussons obtains the most favourable terms of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation.
    • Ensuring strict adherence to company’s Procurement policies, guidelines and principles by stakeholders with a view to meeting Audit Standards

    Job Purpose

    • To provide value driven procurement support to support the achievement of business cost and value propositions
    • To work with stakeholders in building and managing supplier relationships.
    • Ensure a clear understanding of supplier portfolio, capabilities and reliability to support operations.
    • To work closely with other supply chain functions in establishing continuous supplier quality improvement.

    • Contribute and manage the standard costing process and cost projection for assigned portfolio; providing all standard cost data to the Finance function as required for the budgeting process.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (or HND) in Business, Finance, Materials Management or related fields (preferably in engineering). MBA/ CIPS will be an added advantage.

    Technical/Professional Experience

    • Able to communicate in English, speaking, reading and writing.
    • IT skills, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SAP etc.
    • Diagnosis skills and Problem-solving techniques / tools
