Role Description

• The Android Developer will design, build, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications, ensuring strong performance, reliability, and usability.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, designers, and other developers to define requirements, implement features, and refine user experiences. The role involves writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, integrating back-end services, performing code reviews, and troubleshooting bugs and performance issues.
• The Android Developer will also stay current with Android best practices, frameworks, and tools to continuously improve application quality and development processes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience with Back-End Web Development and integrating APIs with mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience developing and publishing Android apps using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern Android architectures (e.g., MVVM, Jetpack libraries).
• Knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, and version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to write maintainable, testable code and use unit/instrumentation testing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced tech or startup environment is an advantage.
• Banking or fintech experience is a plus
