Responsibilities

Assisting in Teaching and Instruction:

• Develop and deliver engaging course materials for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
• Maintain office hours for student consultation and academic advising.

Research and Scholarship:

• Conduct original research in your field or discipline.
• Publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.
• Seek and secure research funding through grants and other sources.
• Present research at academic conferences and seminars.

Service and Outreach:

• Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees.
• Engage in professional development activities.
• Contribute to community outreach programs and initiatives.
• Mentor and support the academic and professional growth of students.

Qualifications

• Master or PhD Degree from an accredited institution in disciplines of Arabic, English, Geography, Accounting, Economics, Business and Public Administration, Computer & Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, Nursing, Public Health, Environmental Health, Health Info Management, Criminology & Security Studies, Peace Studies, Islamic Studies, Int'l Relations & Diplomacy, Education, Sociology, History and any other related.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish high-quality research.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with online and hybrid teaching formats.
• Established network within the academic and professional community.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations.

• Prior experience in examination supervision/proctoring in a tertiary institution.
• Must be resident in Ekiti, Yobe or Niger State.
• Strong computer and web operating skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to duty.
