Mountain Top University (MTU) Recruitment

About Mountain Top University (MTU)

The vision received by Dr. D. K. Olukoya culminated in the official commissioning of the mission in July 1989 in the home of the founder. The commissioning started with 24 people. From the initial 24 foundation members, the church today has millions of worshippers with over 250,000 in a single servi... read morece at the headquarters church alone and not less than 30,000 on the average in most of the branches of the church all over the world. The MFM successfully runs missionary activities in well over 40 nations of the world cutting across Africa, Europe, USA, Canada and Asia. As a Christian Missionary Organization, the MFM is a full gospel ministry devoted to the revival of apostolic signs, Holy Ghost Fire works and the unlimited demonstration of the power of God, to deliver to the uttermost. Absolute holiness within and without is taught openly, as the greatest insecticide and as a condition for heaven. The core of the general vision of MFM is total liberty of men and women from all forms of oppression and bondage through the teaching of biblical principles and aggressive prayer strategies for a victorious living. The vision carries a training emphasis that led to the establishment of the Spiritual War College, which is the Bible College of the MFM, in 1995 and then the Deliverance School. Thereafter, twelve other associated departments were created, all of which are now under the umbrella of an institute known now as the Institute of Spiritual Warfare (INSWAR). The former Spiritual War College has now been renamed the Department of Biblical Studies. INSWAR was officially commissioned on 7th November 2002. It comprises 14 departments, namely, Biblical Studies, Deliverance, Prayer, Ministry, Evangelism and Church Planting, Discipleship and Missions, Languages and Culture, Spiritual Red Cross, Counseling, The Prophets, Power and Healing, Church Music, Praise Worship and Children Education. The leadership programmes organized by the INSWAR have attracted men and women from all fields of endeavour including career civil servants, medical personnel, engineers, academics, military personnel, legal practitioners, journalists, business executives, career diplomats etc. The ultimate goal has been to establish a full-fledged higher institution where aspiring Nigerians can be taught to attain their full intellectual capacity that can be translated into skills as individuals and eventually mobilized into the socio-economic priorities of the nation. It is against this background that the vision for the establishment of Mountain Top University, which has derived its name from that of the founding ministry, was born. The promulgation of the Education (National Minimum Standards and Establishment of Institutions) Decree No. 9 of 1993, which repealed the Decree No. 19 of 1984 and stipulated new guidelines on the establishment of private universities was therefore a very welcome development. Since then, seventeen private universities have been approved and licensed to operate alongside the federal and state-owned institutions. Vision The Mountain Top University is envisioned as "a dynamic centre of academic excellence in the liberal tradition for the production of top-rate, morally sound graduates of distinction who will be globally competitive for outstanding impact on the Nigerian societal and global development”. Mission The mission of Mountain Top University is the provision of excellent facilities for the training of men and women in various academic, professional and vocational disciplines in an atmosphere that will enhance the simultaneous development of their spiritual, mental and physical faculties, in order to produce morally upright and academically sound graduates with specialized skills and value systems, who will be independent, invariably self-employable and who will be able to impact positively on the development (be it in leadership, academic, public and the industrial sectors) of their communities, the Nigerian society and the global community at large.
