However, the then Civilian Government in the State decided to repossess the Specialist Hospital so that it could have a secondary healthcare facility in the state capital. Thus, it was decided that the Centre should be relocated to the present site in the premises of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Yola, along Lamido Zubairu Way, Yola-Town.
