Adefila & Partners evolved from the older partnership of Adefila, Akinsomi, Salako and Partners which was established in April 1985, with Mr. Thomas Kolawole Adefila serving as the Principal Partner. The three partners were classmates at the Department of Estate Management, University of Ile-Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) between 1973 and 1977 vying for honours in their pursuit of the study of Estate Management. Upon leaving university, two worked together in Wemabod Estate between 1978-1980, while one left to join the third at Knight Frank where two had worked together until the three decided to form the older partnership in 1985.
Sadly the Partnership lost one of the partner, Late Abayomi Salako early in the life of the Partnership and two surviving partner kept the flag flying, building on the old friendship and expanding confidence of clientele which resulted in rapid expansion of the clientele base.
However, as information technology was fast catching in with the attendant effect on the profession of Real Estate Management which was developing very rapidly within Nigeria economy, the need to re-focus the practice and catch up with the development became very compelling.
It was this need to refocus and reposition the practice for effectiveness and efficiency in the service delivery in all areas of Real Estate Consultancy to meet the challenges of globalization that the firm Adefila & Partners was established. The new firm was therefore registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Abuja in May, 2003 and has Certificate Number LAZ 138971 and has remained one of the firms at the fore-front of top consultancy in the country.
The very good experience gathered over the years, right from the old partnership, forms the solid foundation of the practice of Adefila & Partners which can boast of a crop of seasoned and experienced Estate Surveyors and Valuers who have worked together on very numerous assignments in every sectors of the economy all over the country, thereby building required synergy for good service delivery.
The Partnership has remained focused on the issue of professionalism and giving satisfaction to clients in all aspect of the profession, particularly Asset Valuation which has remained one of the main areas of core competence of the practice.
