Location: Lagos, Nigeria | Hybrid (Remote + Occasional physical meetings)

Role Overview

• We’re looking for a creative YouTube Editor to join our team. This role is responsible for editing long and short form YouTube content  while maintaining the creative direction and language of the brand / talent on a recurring schedule.
• You’ll work closely with the creative production team and the talent to ensure that the YouTube videos are delivered timely and visually aligned with the brand. 

Key Responsibilities

• Edit long-form and short-form videos from raw footage.
• Add captions, motion graphics, and sound design.
• Maintain a consistent visual style / brand across all content..
• Deliver videos on a set weekly / monthly cadence.
• Organise and manage footage / project files.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in video editing, preferably with YouTube or long-form content.
• Strong storytelling, pacing and visual editing skills.
• Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Capcut or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of YouTube content formats and audience retention.
• Ability to edit talking-head, interview, lifestyle, documentary and brand content.
• Good knowledge of sound design music selection, colour grading and captions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain visual consistency.
• Good communication and time-management skills. 

Nice to Have:

• Experience editing for YouTube creators, brands and agencies.
• Experience with motion graphics and basics animation.
• Strong understanding of YouTube analytics and audience retention.
• Experience editing documentaries, interviews or lifestyle content.
• Ability to create engaging short-form content from long-form footage.
• Good understanding of current YouTube editing trends.
• Experience working with high-resolution footage and professional camera formats.
