Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and passionate Yoruba Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Yoruba language lessons, fostering a love for the language and culture among students, and ensuring academic excellence in line with the curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Yoruba language lessons to students.
• Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to make learning interactive and enjoyable.
• Assess students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
• Maintain a positive and conducive classroom environment.
• Participate in school meetings, workshops, and other professional development activities.
• Promote Yoruba culture and values through extracurricular activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Yoruba Language, Education, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of teaching experience in Yoruba language instruction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Yoruba and English.
• Proficiency in lesson planning and classroom management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school administrators.
• Must reside in Ibadan or its surrounding areas.
• Passion for teaching and promoting Yoruba culture.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and educational technology.
• Experience preparing students for local or international examinations.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
