Job Description

• We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join our team, helping to shape the future of our students as they prepare for their transition to secondary education.
• The Year 6 Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that meets the educational and developmental needs of students in Year 6.
• This role involves planning and delivering lessons that align with the curriculum, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Prepare students for end-of-year assessments and the transition to secondary education.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages active learning, critical thinking, and mutual respect.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Support the emotional and social development of students, ensuring their well-being and safety.

Qualifications and Skills

• A Degree in Education or a related field, with a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.).
• Proven experience teaching Year 6 or Key Stage 2, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
