Job Description

• We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Developer who specializes in WordPress to join our dynamic team. As a WordPress Expert, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining our website, ensuring its functionality, security, and performance. You will collaborate with our design and marketing teams to implement web solutions that align with our business goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Customize and optimize WordPress themes and templates to meet project requirements.
• Ensure website security by implementing best practices and security measures.
• Collaborate with designers and content creators to implement website updates and improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, or performance bottlenecks.
• Perform regular website backups and updates.
• Support and maintain existing websites, including making updates, adding new features, and addressing user inquiries.
• Perform server administration and maintenance tasks to ensure website stability and performance.
• Implement and manage website security measures, including firewalls, malware scanning, and user access controls.
• Conduct regular website backups and administer backup restoration when necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web development.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND or OND qualification with 3 - 10 years work experience.
• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS and its ecosystem.
• Experience with responsive web design principles.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices.
• Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce).
• Knowledge of website optimization techniques.
• Graphic design skills or familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
