Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

• The individual duties will include translating requirements into simple but effective web and mobile software solutions, working with team members to design web/mobile user interfaces, and enhancing web/mobile user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop iOS, Android or Hybrid solutions that deliver on business and technology strategy
• Work with other Engineers, UX/UI, QA Analysts, and Business Owners/Analysts
• Engage with developers within and outside of the scrum team (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.)
• Work across the entire application life cycle Цconcept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support.
• Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects.
• Work with Business Analysts and UI/UX experts to build the interface with focus on usability features
• Create mobile device specific user interfaces and experiences.
• Optimizing performance for the apps /web.
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile/web technologies.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• BSc in Computer Science or related discipline
• Industry certification is a big plus.

Mandatory Skills:

• Familiar with OO design and programming skills in Objective-C, Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
• Familiar with iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location, e t c)
• Familiar with XCode
• Familiar with the Android SDK
• Knowledge of MySQL, Linux
• Familiar with Eclipse & Spring
• Understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP
• Web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
• Development using web technologies
• Experience using social media APIs
• Using version control (e.g. SVN, Git).

Required Experience:

• Proven development experience in desktop and mobile web development.
• Experience building web and native/hybrid apps
• Good knowledge of human computer interaction and mobile usability design principles
• 2+ years of iOS development experience
• 2+ years of Android development experience
• 2+ years of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular.js, Ajax and PHP
• 1+ years of Ionic experience
• Experience working with Apache
• Experience in creating Micro services
• Experience developing in an Agile-Scrum environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
