Web App/IT Administrator at Waya Multilink

Core to our mandate is our recognition that mobile financial technology is the new and future global path to sustainable wealth creation and development especially for financially excluded population in Africa. This inspired us to create WAYA, our mobile application that enable our clients’ access financial services through mobile devices seamlessly, in real time as well as enabling talk and chat at no cost to them. Now they can WAYA their money, their talks their chats because WAYA understands their needs.

• Maintain the webapp of the business
• Build and implement several WEBAPPs for internal use
• Build and implement all the project management, customer relationship and accounting, HR web ERP systems
• Installs and configures computer systems;
• Provides technical support to system users;
• Troubleshoots system and network problems;
• Conducts diagnostics and solves faults arising from online publication systems;
• Ensures that online customers are properly engaged and subscribed;
• Provides procedural documentation, relevant reports and ensures implementation of all IT policies;
• Maintains end users confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential;
• Manages requests for IT application access, ensuring full compliance to agreed security policies and procedures;
• Responds within agreed time limits to call-outs;
• Responsible for IT, and firewall strategy and security;
• Responsible for servers, network and email management;
• Serves as first level support on all incidents with online publication systems;
• Works continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
• Prioritises and manages many open cases at one time;
• Rapidly establishes good working relationship with team members and other professionals;
• Evaluates system potentials by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs;
• Performs backup and restore procedures;
• Continually develops disaster recovery and business continuity plan;
• Ensures system environments are fully maintained with appropriately supported updates and patches;
• Assists with testing and deployment of application changes/releases;
• Analyses call logs to spot trends and underlying issues;
• Proactively monitors systems to capture potential issues (e.g. alerts, performance) before they occur, in accordance with monitoring/maintenance procedures;
• Knowledge of Windows Servers, Linux OS and Virtualisation, C-Panel, Wordpress, Enterprise application, website design;
• Knowledge of network and security systems required;

Job  Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of prorgaming experience
• Experience with finance / banking systems
• BSc/HND  Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Excellent working knowledge of up-to-date servers and desktop systems;
• Working Knowledge of how to build and deploy android apps will be an added advantage
• Understanding of systems integration and various web devices and environments.
• Ability to design and implement web services.
• Familiarity with authentication and access control.
• Knowledge of website delivery best practices
• Create usable APIs for our web app
• Build API integrations of our web app with other web apps
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP and node JS modules
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Integration of data storage solutions
• Conducting regular site updates
• Represent a professional image in dealings with internal and external parties at all times
• Other tasks as may be required from time to time
• Knowledeg of Jave, Jave script, Flutter , php and Laravel
