    Wealth Manager

    Role Description

    • The Wealth Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth and emerging affluent clients, focusing on long-term financial planning and investment performance. Day-to-day tasks include assessing client financial goals, developing tailored wealth management strategies, recommending investment products, and conducting regular portfolio reviews. The role also involves monitoring market trends, preparing clear advisory reports, collaborating with internal teams on cross-selling opportunities, and ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are consistently met. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Lagos, with a blend of in-office collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The Wealth Manager is expected to maintain strong client relationships, uphold ethical standards, and contribute to the firm’s overall business growth.

    Qualifications

    • Strong skills in financial planning, portfolio management, and investment advisory for individual and corporate clients.
    • Ability to analyze market data, interpret economic trends, and apply risk management principles to client portfolios.
    • Proficiency in client relationship management, including communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Experience with wealth management products such as mutual funds, fixed income instruments, equities, and alternative investments.
    • Familiarity with consumer lending, retail banking operations, and cross-selling financial services is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and ethical standards in financial services.
    • Comfort with digital tools, financial software, and fintech platforms used for advisory, reporting, and client engagement.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) are a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Prior experience in wealth management, private banking, or investment advisory is strongly preferred.
