    Warehouse Operator

    General objective 

    The Warehouse Operator participates in all warehouse operations to support accurate, efficient, and safe handling of goods. The role focuses on receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing stock while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and space utilization. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction through reliable warehouse practices and teamwork.

    RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

    1. Receive, process, and document incoming stock (unload, label, store) and ensure accurate recording of goods.
    2. Perform inventory controls, cycle counts, and maintain compliance with Good Storage Practices (GSP) and quality standards.
    3. Store materials securely and optimize storage space; arrange and stack merchandise using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
    4. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
    5. Maintain accurate records of all goods received and distributed, complete diary logs into inventory systems.
    6. Detect and report any discrepancies, damaged items, or quality issues to supervisors.
    7. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment; adhere to safety policies and standards.
    8. Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
    9. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers; participate in team meetings and process improvements.
    10. Assist with other tasks as assigned by the line manager to support operations and efficiency

    REQUIERED SKILLS

    1. Language skills: English & Hausa
    2. Education degree: Secondary school certificate.
    3. Work experience: 1 - 2 years’ experience in relevant field, previous experience in food industry plant experience is a plus
