Job Summary

• The Warehouse Officer is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• The role ensures that warehouse operations are conducted in accordance with company standards, safety regulations, and inventory control procedures.
• The Warehouse Officer plays a key role in maintaining accurate stock records, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming and outgoing materials and products.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using manual and digital systems.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.

Warehouse Operations:

• Organize and maintain the warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilization.
• Ensure that products are properly labeled, stored, and handled to prevent damage or loss.
• Coordinate loading and unloading of materials in compliance with company policies.
• Support in the planning and scheduling of deliveries and dispatches.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain all relevant documents such as waybills, delivery notes, stock cards, and requisition forms.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse activity reports.
• Ensure compliance with audit and documentation standards.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety standards and procedures.
• Report any incidents, damages, or safety hazards immediately.

Coordination & Teamwork:

• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Supervise warehouse assistants or casual workers as assigned.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 2–4 years’ experience in warehouse or inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, ERP systems).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Physical ability to lift or move items as required.
• Integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
