Warehouse Manager - Kano at Burn Nigeria

About the role:

• BURN is looking for awarehouse managerwho will supervise all activities of the facility, oversee team performance, expedite the receiptand shipping of goods, and ensure efficient and organized storage.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage all Receiving, Warehousing (both in-house and third Part / Consignment), and Dispatch operations.
• Manage all transactions into (Receipts) and out of (Shipments) in the Microsoft NAV system
• Manage all Issuances to Production and all other Departments within the Microsoft NAV ERP system
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce new and existing programs, and Personnel Policies and Procedures. across all BURN warehouses
• Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements in line with existing and new legislation
• Safeguard warehouse operations and material by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
• Ascertain and update inventory levels by conducting cycle counts and updating the ERP system
• Work with members of the Supply Chain team and management to ensure reliable inventory planning
• Maintain physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
• Assist top management in achieving financial objectives by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions that keep them to a minimum
• Manage warehouse staff by recruiting and training employees
• Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications as and when required or available
• Ensure continuous improvement across all warehouse areas

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of warehouse management experience
• A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as supply chain management, logistics, and business administration
• Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures
• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
• Proficient in MS Office
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong people skills
