Warehouse Manager at BP Business Solutions

Objective / Purpose of Job

• To oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of the organization's wide variety of products.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and monitor the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods from the company's warehouse
• Ensures that expired goods are locked in expired goods room and that returned, and quarantined items are stored and tagged appropriately
• Ensures the timely preparation of bin cards and GRNs regarding short dated and expired products and coverage levels
• Ensures that warehouse adheres to all relevant GDP and other quality standards
• Signs order and dispatch receipts of all incoming and outgoing goods from the warehouse
• Utilizes space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently and oversee the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget and scheduling expenditures
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
• Assists the supply chain manager in organizing the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
• Motivates, organize and encourage teamwork within the warehouse to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
• Oversees submission of monthly regular reports to the supply chain manager
• Oversees the operation of the raw material/ packaging material warehouses
• Works with sales, accounts, production, QA and procurement on relevant warehouse priorities
• Leads quarterly stock counts

Qualification / Requirements

• HND or B.Sc. in Supply Chain or other relevant courses
• Min of 10 years’ experience in warehouse management (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry)
• Good knowledge of the following:
  • Modern warehouse procedures
  • Warehouse management
  • Methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials
  • Basic stock inventory procedures & requisitions
  • Computerized warehouse record keeping systems
