Implementation G Configuration: Set up Zoho Inventory from scratch, including configuring warehouses, items, composite items, and barcode scanning systems.
Process Automation: Design and automate warehouse workflows such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and replenishment.
Multi-Channel Integration: Sync Zoho with platforms like Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, and accounting software like Zoho Books to ensure real-time stock updates.
Data Management G Reporting: Generate real-time reports for warehouse management, stock movement, batch tracking, and expiry dates.
System Optimization: Analyse existing inventory workflows to improve efficiency and reduce errors, often replacing spreadsheet-based systems.
Training G Support: Train warehouse staff on using Zoho Inventory (desktop/mobile) and provide ongoing technical support to resolve issues.
The Consultant would work with the Lead Network Design Consultant and the CLIENT IT Team/Warehouse Personnel and other stakeholders to provide value throughout the lifecycle of a warehouse's digital transformation/Automation:
Needs Assessment G Selection: They help define unique business requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and vet Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) vendors to find the right fit.
Process Engineering: They design "lean" target processes to reduce operational time and costs, often eliminating bottlenecks and improving throughput.
Implementation G Integration: The Consultant would manage the complex technical setup, ensuring the WMS integrates seamlessly with other systems like ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), e- commerce platforms, and automation equipment when required
Requirements
Experience: A minimum of 7- 10 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management is typical.
Proven experience with Zoho Inventory and related tools (Zoho Books, CRM, Creator, Flow) or other Warehouse Management Solution Application
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse management principles (FIFO/FEFO, Bin Location tracking, reorder points).
Technical Skills: Experience with barcode scanner integration, API connections, and potentially Deluge scripting for custom automations.
Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot, perform variance investigations, and define KPIs for warehouse efficiency.
Communication: Ability to work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical setups.
Inventory Visibility: Ensuring real-time, end-to-end traceability of products.
Labor Management: Optimizing staffing, shift scheduling, and labour performance.
Space Utilization: Planning storage systems and facility layouts to maximize capacity.
Automation: Identifying opportunities for material handling equipment and robotics.
A first-level university degree is generally required, typically in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
APICS Certifications: Certifications such as Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) are highly desirable.
WMS/ERP Specific Training: Specialized training in specific warehouse management software (e.g., SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, Zoho WMS) required
System Implementation: Documented experience in implementing or optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems is frequently required.
Process Mapping: Experience in designing and documenting business processes using tools like Visio is often needed.
