Client Overview

Our client offers sales and after-sales services in the automobile industry. They are a known name in the automobile assembly plants and distribution in Nigeria where the business caters to Auto Sales, and Auto After Sales Services. 

Position Overview

This position is responsible for supervising the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all VRF systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards while delivering excellent customer service to the client.

This role requires excellent people management skills, strong leadership and supervisory skills, strong problem-solving & analytical skills, excellent written & verbal communication skills, effective customer service and quality control, stakeholder management skills, strong organizational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of VRF technicians while ensuring efficient installation, commissioning, and maintenance of VRF systems.
• Planning and prioritizing work schedules to meet customer deadlines and ensuring timely completion of projects.
• Conducting routine site visits to ascertain that VRF systems are being installed and maintained to the highest standards.
• Providing technical support and training to VRF technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Liaising with customers in resolving issues, addressing queries, and ensuring top-most customer satisfaction.
• Monitoring and controlling costs ensuring efficient and judicious use of resources thereby minimizing waste.
• Identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes in process to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Ensuring that all VRF systems are installed and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and industry standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of a HND or a First Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in VRF system installation, commissioning, and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Technical certification in VRF system installation, commissioning, and maintenance (e.g. Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic)
• Professional Certification (e.g. OSHA, HSE) is required 

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of VRF systems and components.
• Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning principles 
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems 
• Understanding of safety protocols and regulations 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
