Role Description

• This is a full-time hybrid role for a VP of Marketing, based in Lagos. Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will own the entire marketing functiol brand, growth, community, content, and partnerships — and the strategy that ties them together. You'll define how 247Bet shows up in the market, build the brand into a household name in Nigerian sports and betting, and lead the team that drives both awareness and sustainable growth. With our August 2026 launch ahead, this is a foundational leadership role for someone who can set marketing vision at the executive level while building and leading a team to execute it.

What You'll Do

• Own and lead the full marketing function — brand, growth, performance, content, community, and partnerships
• Define the brand strategy, positioning, and narrative, and build 247Bet into a leading name in Nigerian betting
• Set and own the marketing strategy across the full funnel, from awareness to retention
• Build, lead, and scale the marketing team, including growth, community, content, and brand functions
• Own the marketing budget and the relationship between spend, growth, and unit economics
• Lead go-to-market for launch and for new features, markets, and products
• Drive major brand campaigns, sponsorships, ambassador deals, and partnerships
• Partner with product, finance, and the CEO on strategy, positioning, and growth targets
• Establish the marketing analytics and reporting that connect activity to business outcomes
• Champion responsible gaming and ensure marketing meets advertising and regulatory standards

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years in marketing, including senior leadership (VP, Marketing Director, or CMO-track)
• A track record of building and scaling a consumer brand, ideally in a high-growth environment
• Strong command of both brand and performance/growth marketing
• Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary marketing teams
• Deep understanding of the Nigerian consumer, sports, and betting market
• Strategic, commercially minded, and comfortable operating at executive and board level
• Excellent leadership, communication, and storytelling skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in sports betting / gaming, fintech, or another fast-moving consumer category
• Experience taking a consumer product to market and scaling it
• Network across Nigerian sports, media, creator, and partnership ecosystems
• Exposure to community-led or social-first growth models
