Veterinary Doctor (Layer) at Maurice Xandra Solutions

Our Client, a major player in the agricultural and agro-allied sector specializing in the production of agro-based products is in need of a Veterinary Doctor(Layer).

Job Summary: The Veterinary Doctor will be fully involved in carrying out a post-mortem on the birds, recommend drugs, monitor vaccination programs on the farm, and participate in vaccinating and administration of drugs to the birds.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Ideal Candidate will coordinate all activities regarding the health status of the birds on the farm
• Give all required assistance to Production Management to see that daily routine concerning flock management is carried out successfully.
• Monitor feed production in the feed mill and recommend necessary feed grade medication to the feed mill supervisor.
•  Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports of the veterinary department.
• Sound knowledge of commercial layer management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in  Veterinary Science.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Knowledgeable with the regulatory bodies regarding poultry farming and value addition.
