Job Summary

• We're seeking an experienced Loan Verification Officer with a strong Internal Control background to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying loan applications, ensuring compliance with lending policies, and maintaining the integrity of our loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct field visits to verify borrower information and collateral.
• Ensure compliance with lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and report potential risks or irregularities in loan applications.
• Collaborate with loan officers and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on loan verification activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BSc / HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics or related discipline
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a microfinance bank or financial institution.
• Strong background in Internal Control and risk management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
