    Venture Development Manager

    Reports To: Executive Director and Founder

    Job Description

    • The role of the Venture Development Manager will be to define the critical success factors, strategies, risks and costs for new ventures, projects and transactions and configuring structures to ultimately result in success.
    • Central Deal Development Management, designing deal development plans and working with all project members to ensure deals are secured and achieved.
    • Working closely with Executive Director and Founder the role will be responsible for development, negotiating, securing, managing and successful closure of projects and contracts as well as providing oversight, managing all project team members to deliver against expectations.

    Job Functions and Responsibilities

    • Co-formulates overall development and growth strategy for new ventures and transactions
    • Identify, evaluate, engage and manage strategic partners to achieve project and business goals
    • Evaluate and Execute initiatives such as Joint Ventures, Acquisitions, Divestitures, Licensing and Partnership Activities
    • Ensure business and deal operations are at acceptable standards in comparison to benchmarked peers
    • Manage Key Deliverables and Project Group including but not limited to: Reviewing Analyses and Plans, Overseeing Execution of Project Plans and Tasks, Defining the Deals and Project Process flows.
    • Establish and Lead a robust, analytic and comprehensive process to identify and evaluate potential opportunities, which include extensive data acquisition, rigorous idea generation and screening process that will result in quality deal opportunities and the establishment of Successful ventures for all stakeholders
    • Optimise firm productivity by monitoring company performance and benchmarking with competitors and peers alike
    • Review and Managing Transaction and Venture Forecast Models and Budgets to determine resource allocation
    • Management and oversight of all corporate division within the company and project groups
    • Co-approval of payments and/or financial requests within the company and project groups
    • Ensure all business operational infrastructure and resources should acquired, available, current and adequate for successful business operations

    Educational and Skills Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management
    • Certification from a recognized institution
    • Project Management
    • Minimum of 7 years experience at top-tier company in corporate development, investment banking, commercial banking management consulting or financial advisory
    • Excellent business insight and analytic skills
    • Excellent financial acumen and capable of forecasting trends based on data
    • Excellent problem solving, and communication skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent business modeling and presentation skills
    • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinker coupled with ability to drive results by rolling up sleeves and getting work done
    • Resourcefulness and Responsiveness
    • Resilient and strong work ethics
    • Good decision-making skills and able to manage ambiguity
    • Detail-oriented

    Remuneration Package

    • 1,000 000 to 1,500 000 Million Naira monthly.
