    Van Sales Representative (VSR)

    Job Summary

    • The Van Sales Representative (VSR) is responsible for achieving sales targets by driving route vans to sell, distribute, and merchandise company products within assigned territories.
    • The role requires excellent product knowledge, strong customer relationship management, and adherence to sales processes to ensure availability, visibility, and penetration of all products.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive van sales operations across assigned routes to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
    • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with retail customers.
    • Ensure regular stock replenishment and proper merchandising of products at customer outlets.
    • Execute trade marketing activities and ensure product visibility on shelves.
    • Collect market intelligence and report on competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
    • Reconcile daily sales, cash collections, and stock returns.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and route performance.
    • Ensure the van is always in good condition, roadworthy, and stocked appropriately.
    • Follow company policies on sales operations, credit control, and customer engagement.
    • Support territory expansion activities and identify new sales opportunities.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of an SSCE / OND / HND / B.Sc Degree is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 10 years of experience as a Van Sales Representative in an FMCG environment.
    • Valid driver's license with good driving skills and knowledge of road networks within assigned locations.
    • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to meet sales targets and work under pressure.
    • Good numerical, communication, and record-keeping skills.
    • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting products when necessary.
